They actually interviewed Jacoby Jones. I liked his attitude seems like a smart kid. They also showed some DLine drills with Weaver at LDE, Okoye at LDT, Maddox at RDT, and Williams at RDE.

And apparently the defense kicked the offense's butt today.
I'm not sure how I feel about that.

Kubiak said part of it may be his fault as he said they have opened up the playbook alot more this year and may of threw too many things at them. Specially since Ahman and Matt are both new this year. So the defense may of had a advantage.

I could tell you how I feel bout it. Makes me feel real good bout our D. I know you probably say what bout the O, but I'm not too worried bout the O. They will start clicking real soon. Remember we are replacing more starters on O right know & its just a matter of time to see them gel. I like to hear our D got the best of practice today, cuz the O are going to have more emphasis on their execution & prove to themselves & each other, they can come together & have a good practice. I take all of this as GREAT NEWS!!!
Texans with a legitimate DEFENSE & Texans Offense with a point to PROVE!!!
I can't wait!!

Yeah I liked Jacoby's attitude as well, he seemed hungry to go out and earn a spot on this team, didn't seem entitled at all. Liked how he said that he has to improve at everything. Then again, hearing how he constantly strove to play against the best competition he could find and have success, I guess it's not surprising.

it was really windy at times down at reliant park today which gave the defense the edge. i wouldnt read into it at all.

Dunta Robinson is the king of using "you know" in interviews.

LOL....no doubt. I thought I was the only one that noticed that. I've always liked his honesty too. He flat out said they owned the offense. Our D has some confidence. I like it.

Ya say, the defense out-play the offense... Well Surprise, surprise who would have figured that.? Just everyone!

Don't defenses ususally outplay offenses at the start of OTAs/minicamp/TC, since the offense is trying to learn a whole playbook, while the defense doesn't have to learn as much, plus the whole bit about how the defense only has to react to what the offense is doing?

Does anybody know who the left tackle was, or are they rotating them out again this year?

True what you say... and add to that the talent level drafted by the Texans for the defense. With that, plus the defense coaching seems to be better in my mind. Makes watching them much more enjoyable.

...........To that I'll add that on any one play, ONE player on the DEFENSE may independently account for the stop, the take down, the breakup or the interception. At the same time, it takes at least TWO players to coordinate a successfull OFFENSIVE play. In other words, D's can appear better earlier than the O;s because the O depends more on team sycronization to be successful.

offense is about creating and defense is about destroying...so the d is usually ahead of the o early in the season...it's easier to destory than it is to create.

I got goosebumps when I saw Mario and Amobi going through their drills.
I odn't know. Maybe I am being a little too reactionary, but Amobi looked a little slow.
