He only needs 149 yards to reach 1000 for the season. This guy is doing a great job. I'm loving this AJ and Slaton with 1000 yards and hopefully Walter gets 1000 before the season ends.

Kevin Walter is a beast, he is such a clutch receiver. He is definitely one of my favorite on the team that shows a lot of passion for the game.

Yeah he is an Ed macaffery Steve tasker kinda guy, lunch box guy, we are a much better team because of him.

Anybody remember when nobody was given this guy a shot when we got him in 2006? He wasn't a big name and we all thought we weren't doing anything to help AJ because Walter wasn't the fastest receiver and barely played in Cincinnati? Sometimes I think the best thing that could've happened for us was for AJ to get hurt last year. I think it helped Walter's confidence and showed him that hard work will pay off.

He also attributes alot of his success to AJ because of how talented AJ is and yet he still puts in a lunch box work attitude at practice. Here's to KW whooping up on Cortland Finnegan this weekend.

No question that K.Walter can do damage with his break away speed.

With all the double coverages that AJ gets just leaves KW wide open half the time, especially on those go routes.

D.Andersen is no slouch either....

AJ being the NFL's former best kept secret does indeed help Walter out, but by now, a lot of what we see Walter do is him just being able to make plays. He's no game breaker, but as a receiver he is smart, atheltic and works his tail off. I hope he manages to break a 1,000 this season, he deserves more credit then most people are willing to give to him.

David Anderson appears to be getting some of that pre-season swagger back as well. He's still not one of our top three in my opinion but defenses still underestimate him in the slot which gives us a good weapon outside of the usual suspects.

Having KW and AJ in the backfield (let's not forget OD running around somewhere) helps keep the field open for Slaton. Our offense is beautiful thing to see when Schaub has time and that Oline keeps opening up landing zones for Slaton to run through. These guys are all bad *****e$ and just imagine enhancing and adding more talent to the D for next year. Hopefully this now number 3 offense performs well against the Tacks.

Go Texans!!!

I love watching KW too, he has lightning fast reflexes and is a VERY heads-up kinda guy. I used to think of him as more of a TE because he lines up tight and stayed short, but now he runs longer routes. David Anderson always surprises me by how much ground he can cover in a very short time. I still like Andre Davis when he gets hold of the ball because of how he fights after the catch.

And of course OD - that guy's amazing. These are all *besides* AJ. Another exciting thing is these are all rather young players. I pray they stay together...

You'll need to do a custom / personalized jersey. Owen Daniels is the same way. Steve Slaton jerseys just now became possible to buy, at least on houstontexansproshop.com

So yes, you will need to do a online order. I just bought a AJ jersey from houstontexansproshop and I received the jersey fast since it's coming somewhere from Houston instead of NFLSHOP which I think is on the east coast somewhere.....

Here's a look at Walter's numbers vs. the rest of the league:

851 receiving yards
NFL rank: 18t
AFC rank: 9t
(T.O. - 848 yards; Randy Moss - 841)

8 TDs
NFL rank: 5t
AFC rank: 1t (tied with Moss)
(Tony Gonzalez & Greg Jennings - 7; Roddy White & Brandon Marshall - 6; Steve Smith, Reggie Wayne & Andre Johnson - 5)

15.5 yards per catch
NFL rank: 15
AFC rank: 8
(T.O. - 15.4; Larry Fitzgerald & Moss - 13.8; Wayne - 13.7; Marshall - 12.4)

11 catches of 25+ yards
NFL rank: 5
AFC rank: 1
(League leader has 13; Lee Evans, Fitgzerald, Moss, Owens, Marshall, Anquan Boldin are all behind Walter in this category)

I wrote the NFL and asked them when we were going to get ladies Owen Daniels and Kevin Walters jersey, and basically, they told me not to hold my breath. I almost had it out with them, so I nicely said goodbye and hung up. They were rude.

Slaton, I figure got his jersey because he is the first electric running back we've had since Dominik Davis-Williams.

If the Texans get off to a good start next year, I would hope we at least get a Owen Daniels jersey next season.

And there is the other Andre - Davis, that is. Last year when AJ was out for 8 games it was AD and Walter that kept us going in the receiving department, along with OD of course.

How did you hang up on them if you wrote them? ;)

Yeah I have been very impressed with KW performance from this year. Next year with andre and kevin as a 1-2 Wide out threat. I see big things again for the texans offence.

Matt lead the league last week in passing yards, so that tells me Walter and company must be doing something right.
