Anybody know when the ProBowl rosters will be announced? I can't wait to see which Texans get recognized. Who do you guys think will make it?

December 16th...Yeah, i seriously can't wait until they announce the rosters..I personally think:

Locks: Andre Johnson
Mario Williams

Possibly: Owen Daniels
Steve Slaton

Close, but probably not: Demeco Ryans
Kevin Walter
Vonta Leach

It all just depends on the Players and Coaches vote...In my opinion, this should be a record year in getting Texans to the pro bowl, with at least 3.

I just came across this from nscurfield blog

NFL rules require players and coaches to vote for players only on other teams. Offensive players vote for defensive players and vice versa.

...One Texan will definitely be representing the team in Honolulu next February: Texans Cheerleader Ashley, who was named as Houston's Pro Bowl representative earlier this week.

Problem is that most people vote probably insane numbers early in the season for players they like and early in the season people still had high hopes for the Bills, Browns, Redskins and other teams. I know voted like 8 times a week when it first started but the holidays started up and I only voted maybe once week.

Much like when Mario really started tearing things up in the middle of last year, a guy like Slaton is probably not going to the Pro Bowl unless he has a big push from the polls outside the public.

AJ and Mario are the only locks this season, OD is probably on the bubble but unfortunately despite the stats, he isn't as popular as the other tight ends that constantly make the pro bowl but have done nothing this year. :(


Not just Winslow but stupid Dallas Clark as well.

I'm alone in not caring at all about the Pro Bowl? We all know it's a popularity contest and Houston isn't the most popular team in the league.

I agree with you completely. The football season ends after the super bowl for me.
