Personally, I think it was a few really heads-up plays that won the game for the Texans:
KW's double move that let his defenders run into each other so he could 'walk in'
SS running out of bounds, because I think he was eyeing that goal line..
Vonta deciding to hit anything that came near and got 22 yards (i love that play)
AJ seeing that SS went the wrong way so he quickly ran to help Shaub - 2 point conversion ..
I really hope they do well against the Tacks tomorrow, as my brother is a huge Tack fan and therefore a big pain this year to hear from, lol.
Go Texans!

I've seen Slaton a couple times stay in bounds when he want to run out the clock by just falling down before he gets pushed out of bounds. Smart heads up play.
And everything else you listed. ;)

well, not to be mr negative, but KW's double more was a result of a horribly underthrown pass from schaub. it was heads up for him to come back to the ball, but it wasnt meant to shake off the defenders.
Slaton's move out of bounds was heads up, but didnt contribute to our win since we missed that FG.
And AJ was already running that route when slaton messed up. He was just supposed to be the second option. he became the only option though.
But some guys were playing pretty smart. they are growing up

I agree, the veteran leadership on the team is really playing outstanding and showing very good examples to play by. I love the TEAM first mentality of everyone. We are gonna be a great team for years to come if we can keep it up.

Matt Turks 16 yard run for a 1st down when he knew a blocked punt was coming! Clutch play of the year IMO :)

The pass was under thrown because Schaub stood in the pocket to the last instant and got plowed as he released the ball.

EXACTLY.
Ballsy play by the quarterback, heady play by the receiver.

Agreed. I wonder sometimes if people even watch the play when it happens.

I totally agree it was a clutch play but IMO the TD run in the Miami game for the win was the play of the year.

I realize this. It doesn't change anything that I said. I realize people are pretty on edge on this board and get really defensive. I'm not criticizing Schaub. Fact is, ball was underthrown and Walter adjusted to the ball. Great play all around. Could have easily ended in a pick if the CB and S had been looking back, but walter fought to the ball.
All I was saying is that Walter was given credit for a "heads up play" for making those guys miss. Well, thats not really the case. It was a heads up play to get to the ball, but to give him credit for intentionally making two defenders take each other out is just disingenuous.

I hate that I have to sound like the big critic. I love schaub and other than Richard Smith, I'm very happy with my Texans, but lets be honest.
That pass by Schaub to Walter is "ballsy" only because Walter fought to the ball and the defenders weren't playing the ball. That was a stupid pass. Schaub just chucked the ball up in the air downfield into double coverage and was bailed out by Walter.
My only problem with this thread is not putting credit in the right place. There's lots of credit to go around for the GB victory, but saying Slatons run out of bounds helped us win the game is just silly. It was heads up, but we missed the field goal. Its goos that the guys are learning to play the game though.
Just don't let the fact that we won blind you to the truth. The 2 pt conversion was a complete debacle. It worked out because Schaub and Johnson extended the play and fought for it, but that was the route AJ was supposed to run. We just made the play harder on ourselves when slaton took himself out of the play. I don't know if there was anything "heads up" about it.
