• Dishonorable mention: Chris Myers, Texans -- Myers just didn't play up to expectations this season, and he lacked the physical presence that the position demands.

I didn't think Myers did that bad.... he just needs a better strength and conditioning coach.... yeah, that's the ticket...

Wow. This is pretty rough, coming from a supposedly unbiased outside source. Wonder if our OL coach agrees? Interesting.

i believe it! just watch him get blown off the line almost every play, plus our pass protection inside was where the other team applied the most pressure.i believe we'll make a change here either through fa or draft pick .

He doesn't know what he is talking about. We traded a 6th round draft pick for C.Myers. A starter in the (theoretical) 6th round is phenomenal, even if he wasn't all pro. No offense to Mr. Myers, but he doesn't deserve to be in the same conversation as most of the players mentioned.

I'm glad we didn't give up too much for him, but he was a disappointment. He seemed to get pushed back frequently in the early part of the season, but also seemed to improve later in the season. On the whole, I thought McKinney played much better than Myers his last 2 seasons here, at least when Steve was on the field and not injured.

I think he made the dishonorable mention team because we only traded that 6th rounder, otherwise he would have made the 1st team. But he isnt really that great a player, he may be the weakest link in what is turning into a pretty good OL. Good time to plug Max Unger or Johnathan Luigs as a draft pick.

I am guessing this is all based on Myers being abused in the first couple of weeks because given how well he performed with the rest of unit most of the season Myers did a fine job.

And I question a list of 2008 Disapointments where WR Roy Williams nor even QB Brett Farve are not mentioned.

He is probably the only center to get a false start penalty. But I thought he did a good job for us. The only time he got beat was when there was a way bigger dominant DT or NT on the other side. That's why they get paid so much.

i think he is the weakest link on our o-line, thats why i wouldn't mind the team drafting a center. so i agree with SI on that one

While less than spectacular did you really expect the world from the guy his 2nd year at center and 4th overall? Personally the whole line got schooled a lil bit, but as a whole they did a pretty good job.

I watched him get pushed around all season. He's OK on a pull assignment, but he can not handle the average D-lineman in the NFL. We need a better center.

Myers' weakness was his strength. His technique was pretty good and he was instrumental on sealing off on any number of Slaton runs, for instance the 41 yarder in the Bears game, Myers sealed one DT to the right and Pitts shoved the other to the left to create a gaping hole for SS. So who did the Texans just get rid of?--the strength and conditioning coach. Looks like their aim is to address getting Myers, Okoye, Schaub, etc. stronger.

Center and RG are issues I hope we can address. Then again, so are defensive end, safety, Corner back, back-up HB/goal line back and a big-time run stuffer. Personally I'd address our lines first, but our secondary needs major help as well.

If we can address at least half our major issues, I'll be thrilled.

another bias and radical opinion from a sourse that is confused itself. i gave him a passing grade even after i seen him get knocked around like a ragdoll at the start. AGAIN ....i would like to say.....we are BUILDING....:D and he will stayon:D

Chris Myers was better than any of the geriatric leg injuries we had the previous season.

Sure, draft a Center and let the competition happen. Nothing wrong with that and I would almost bet the ranch that Chris Myers would be for a competition as well. Maybe it's the push he needs to step up his game.

Myers biggest problem is he has trouble keeping weight on during the season. He wasn't terrible, but he could have performer better. The main thing is the line really played much better this season than in the past.
