And we will challenege Indy and Tenn for the division next year.
15. Houston (8-8). Give the Texans a bookend pass-rusher to go along with Mario Williams and they could threaten Indy and Tennessee for the division title in 2009.
Lets see what happens on March 1st/Feb 29th

I agree 100%! This is exactly what we need to focus on and perhaps a DT to help disrupt the pocket.
I think our D line will look much more solid with Mario and a solid 3 down D/E on the other side.

I wonder if Peter King was reffering to Peppers, maybe this comment could fuel the speculation further.

Exactly what I was thinking/hoping. We need to go after Peppers. IMO everything else in our D would fall into place.

The Texans definitely need a DE opposite Mario, but if Taylor Mays is still available at 15 should the Texans pick him?

Hopefully we sign Peppers and Mays is available in April 25 or so (anyone know the draft day). We will know long before draft day what is going on with Peppers, but the draft can onfold in wierd ways, like Okoye wasn't suppossed to be there at 10 when we picked.

I wouldn't be suprised if Peppers was a draft day trade or maybe in the days leading up to the draft like Jared Allen.

If they franchise him and then do a sign and trade yes I agree.

Pretty sure that Taylor Mays just announced that he's staying in school and not going to the NFL draft.

I think that is the only way he leaves Carolina. The Panthers won't let him leave for nothing.
