The Godfather of Sirius NFL radio, Gil brandt, just got finished praising frank bush on the redzone w/ solomon wilcots. Calling him a excellent coach and a great hire. Solomon chimed in (who calls a lot of our games on CBS) calling us winners and saying were heading in the right direction. theyre also praising gibbs' son as a secondary coach and would be a good fit. they both agreed once we get our defense in shape we will be contending for the afc south title.

some good press from guys who know what theyre talking about. although the texans do not get a lot of air time on nfl radio, when they do, the hosts always have good things to say. to hell with BSPN!

Good to hear because I have been feeling the same way. For some people it is bad to get excited about Texans' related news though and showing any sort of happiness/pleasure on the boards is against their rules.

But solomon did play in the league for a while and does know what a good team needs to have I personally value his opion and gil brandt has watched all of our coaches grow and mature since they came in the league. I think they are better to receive knowledge from than someone who never did the job. Just my .02

Yeah, three years ago noone ever really said anything good about Richard Smith, just kind of scratched their heads. So far with Bush we are hearing nothing but good news about him.

When I think about Bush being the DC and I want to feel good about it, I just think of the one part of the defense that has played well - The LB corp. I'm hoping he can do with the rest of the D what he did with the LB corp.

My friends and I play a drinking game when Gus and Steve are calling the game. Every time Steve Tasker says "Gus" everyone takes a shot. We're tanked by halftime.
