I'm calling it, they will release Cassel to avoid overpaying and use Harrell because their offense is basically a spread college offense. Thus, insuring they have a QB because Brady might not be back.

They drafted a QB last year to be back up when Cassell left.

I think if he is sitting there at the 5-7 rounds he will be theirs.

I expect the Pat's to place the franchise tag on Cassel if Brady is not ready. That way they don't have to give him a long term contract and will have him if needed for next season. There is no way Harrell will be ready to start next season. He has a lot to work on to get nfl ready. The Tech offense almost never has the qb under center. He will have to learn 3, 5, and 7 step drops and more importantly how to make his reads will doing a drop. Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco had experience doing that when they came out of college. The Pat's don't run a spread offense, no team in the nfl does. They may have some plays in their package that are spread plays but an nfl qb lines up under center probobly 80-90% of the time.

Dude, your kidding right? They've been talking about sevral places on how Harrell Might not even get drafted at this point. People have been bashing his foot work, his lack of experience under the center and by far the most his arm strength. I mean it could happen, but I doubt it. I'll try to find the article I saw earlier on this subject.

Discusses how Harrell has looked less than impressive during Senior Bowl practices. I know not the he's not going to get drafted article but something showing what NFL prospects think about him and other people. I can't find the article on ESPN that I saw earlier though.

I see the Patriots cutting Tom Brady and making Cassel the starter before I see them cutting Cassel for Harrell.
