Team Needs

Lets start my annual post to my fellow fans and so called experts and start the great debate that is what is our biggest area of need. please vote and reply with the reason you chose this position as the biggest position of need. I will start and state my case for the biggest need being FS.

To me we really need a defensive playmaker that can play centerfield effectively and cause teams to think twice about going deep someone who is like ed reed since this teams inception we have lacked the kind of defense that forces turnovers. We need a catalyst that can start creating those turnovers that is my case for FS being our biggest area of need.

I have to go DE, there were so many times Mario was all but on the QB typically he could always role away from Mario as nobody was coming from the other side, a good DE rush meeting the QB in the middle will rush more throws and allow us to pick some off and get more sacks. I would much rather the pass either not be thrown (sack) or rushed, then to have clean throw and to hope our safety read his eyes and came break up the play. I'd like both but DE first

I guess DT isn't a need at all if a backup position beats it out of being included in the poll.

I think the most pressing need is pass rush. I don't necessarily think it will just come from the DE though. A good pass rushing OLB like Clay Matthews can compliment a new de in the pass rush. I did say DE though for the record because a DE will get to the qb more than an olb in the 4-3.
