We're all sick of not being able to convert 3rd and 1......4th and 1.........getting stuffed.

Lets fix it.

Lets fix it, and still save some money to sign someone else. I like WARD, but he's gonna want starter money. Benson is OK, but I get the feeling like he's gonna want way more paper then he deserves.

Therefore......lets get a RB that can SMASH. AND won't SMASH our CAP.

Lets quietly sign LAMONT JORDAN

Before anyone says anything......did u watch Lamont Jordan last year ?

When he got the chance, he ran HARD. He didn't have Brandon Jacobs running before him and softening up the Defenses.

This guy is SUPER productive in a 1-2 punch. Look at his work with the JETS. Before anyone says he's old. Check his carries, He hasn't taken anywhere close to the number of hits of other guys his age. And if u watched him run last year, u know he's still got great speed.

Plus then we could still draft a RB mid-rounds if we wanted to and if that Back ends up being a bust, at least we'll have a PLOUGH that we know can play in the NFL.

I honestly think he's the most underrated RB in Free Agency this year. I think he's a better RB than Fred Taylor right now. And I think he's got a lot more years left in him.

What about Dominic Rhodes? He might not return to Indy and he ran hard last season too.

I like Rhodes but hes not a power back. if we can get jordan for the minimum. i say do it. He's not gonna get hurt if he's sharing carries.

Thanks Z

and guys I've got nothing against Rhodes either. He's just not a Power-Back.

And Lamont still has starter ability. I'm not sure if Rhodes ever has had that?

Something has always bothered me about Rhodes. I understand that in Indy he was backing up Edge but he had a pretty good opportunity to take the job when Addai came into play.

This past preseason I was watching the Colts wondering if Mike Hart would pass him up on the depth chart. An injury to Hart ended that theory pretty quickly.

As far as Jordan goes, I would not be angry with the signing (at least not as much as Chris Brown.) I just don't know enough about him to really make an educated decision. As much as we imagine that our backup RB will just be there just for short yardage, he'll probably get a lot of snaps on 1st/2nd where we'll need him to block or catch passes out of the backfield. I don't know how well Jordan does either.

lamont jordan signing with us would be ok. steve could keep his starting job, and lamont could be used for spelling steve and getting those tough yards in the red zone that we had alot of trouble with.

we can sign him and he doesnt work out, see ya later. i much prefer to get young back then to pick up older vets that are on the downside of thier career. i know lamont look strong last year. but RB are a fickle bunch year to year. as they get older, the more the production starts to drop off. sometimes the older backs contribute, the rest of the time they end up broken during the season.

He would a nice solid signing if we get him. I liked the way he ran the ball (with passion). He would be a great supporter to Steve Slaton

maybe a few years ago but now he is damaged goods and should be over 30 by now. If I had to pick between Benson and Jordan. I would pick Benson in that scenario.
