Not bad at all. I would be ok with most of the draft. Few notes...

1. I like the Gilbert pick but I don't know that he lasts that long. He is rumored to go in the 2nd. Replace him with Sidbury and you will be in business.
2. As much as people on this board like the Pat White idea, I don't see Kubiak pulling the trigger on him. First, we just signed a backup QB and Kubiak is known for not keeping more than 2 QBs on the roster except in injury situations. Second, as good as an athlete as White is I'm not sure if the Texans take a gamble on him as a WR. I think that if they want a WR they go with someone who has more experience playing there. Third, Kubiak has openly spoken negatively about the wildcat formation. I don't believe we will ever see the Texans run the wildcat or draft a player specifically because he could run it.
3. Why 2 RBs? With Moats and a potential FA signing I don't see us grabbing 2.
4. Admittedly I know nothing about TE Hill, but if we go TE in the late rounds I think Kory Sperry out of Col St will be a major candidate. He is a decent receiving TE and is out of Col St, so Kubiak will already be familiar with him.

Actually I messed up I had meant to change Smith to Ron Brace DT , Boston College in the 2nd. Also I don't know if Gilbert will make it to the 3rd but if he does I think we should jump on it. Pat White is just a very versatile athlete that could give the Defenses fits in certain situations. I don't think we will keep Moats. I seriously think we sign Benson, and carry 3 RB's and have another on the PS( remember what happened to Denver last year?). Hill is a large target and an exceptional blocker, was thinking for a blocking TE to replace Bruener. Will try to fix the 2nd rd. pick.

- I would be ok with Brace, especially since you are getting a S later. I would also be ok with a 2nd round S and a 4th round DT.
- I agree 100% on Gilbert. If he is there take him. If not take Sidbury.
- White is an exceptional athlete and I'm not saying he would be a bad pick. I'm just not convinced he is the type of player that our staff will target. Like I said, Kubiak has openly criticized the wildcat so we know he doesn't care about White for that type of versatility. If we draft a QB (big IF in my mind) I don't think it is this early due to Kubiak's previously mentioned tendency to carry just 2 QBs on opening day. Kubiak also doesn't strike me as the type to go after guys and convert them to other positions. I think if he wants a WR, he drafts a WR not a QB that he wants to convert.
- I'm fine with your TE pick as well. I was just pointing out the Col St guy as a significant possibility.
- Also, I think we may look at 2 OL in this draft. You may want to look at Lydon Murtha in the 6th/7th instead of your 2nd RB. He is built for a ZBS OT/OG and had the fastest 40 time of all OL at the combine.

No way Pat White makes it thru the 3rd round.... They are saying he may be a day one pick late second.

eh i dont agree with gettin a linebacker in first round...id perfer if we pursued a safety or even brandon pettigrew is a good tight end + blocker... depending on what happens with owen daniels..i might make a mock later...but i hope to make myself a sig first =p

Daniels will be a Texan next year so a first round TE is doubtful. I like the thought of taking a S but there really isn't one worthy of a first round selection. We talked about this year's crop of safeties alot in the past few weeks...too bad you didn't register a bit sooner. I think the general consensus was that the best safeties had early to mid second round value. Welcome to the board by the way...

yeah thank you...didnt even know this board existed..til i started clickin random things on the texans webiste...yeah i dont see any safeties really being worth a first round pick...but id want the best one taken...before anyone else get em......if anything...prob get an offensive lineman first round...thats our next biggest need...if they can get a WR from FA...and LB or DT...the draft has good LB's but id want us to get brian cushing or sumone in that area of talent..if not O-Line has good peeps in draft too
