1. Brian Cushing, OLB, USC - Best 4-3 OLB available at 15, I like Matthews but would only take him after trading down.
2. Ron Brace, DT, BC - The pickup of Antonio Smith gives the Texans other options to improve the DL. Finding a run stuffer that can take on two blockers will help both run d and pass d.
3. Lawrence Sidbury, DE, Richmond - He has great pass rushing skills but is a little too raw to play everydown. Since Antoine Smith can move inside on passing downs I would have Sidbury as a 3rd down pass rushing specialist for his first year or two in the nfl.
4a. Andre Brown, RB, NC State - This kid has looked very good in the offseason. Played very well at the Senior Bowl and performed well at the combine. Comes in a 225lbs. so he could be a great compliment to Slaton.
4b. Darcel McBath, FS, Texas Tech - This is my diamond in the rough. He can play the ball very well and has the ability to make big hits. I see him sitting behind E. Wilson until he shows the ability to play on the nfl level.
5. A. Q. Shipley, C, Penn State - Very good center in college. He has been knocked for his short arms but he is a football player and should be fine in the nfl. Will at the very least add depth to the o line.
6. Anthoney Parker, G, Tennessee - Solid player to compete with Briesel for the starting job and also add depth.
7 Mortty Ivy, OLB, WVU - Add depth to the OLB position.
So there it is, rip it up. Obviously defense was my number one priority. The only spot that I wish I could have filled was CB. If the Texans trade down, I see them filling that need.
