Denver started the week with a quarterback controversy and is ending it with a new quarterback.

Free-agent quarterback Chris Simms has reached agreement with the Broncos on a two-year contract. He will be insurance for starting quarterback Jay Cutler, whose name emerged last week in trade talks.

Simms hasn’t signed yet but soon will, and he will have gone from Tampa Bay to Tennessee to Denver.

Finally, Denver signed free-agent running back J.J. Arrington to a four-year contract. The deal was signed last week, but the league rejected the contract’s language, and it was redone Wednesday. Arrington is a Bronco.

THIS TEAM IS GETTING GOOD FAST....ARRINGTON (RB...CARDINALS), BUCKHALTER (RB..EAGLES) , DAWKINS (FS...EAGLES), LAMONT JORDAN (RB..PATRIOTS), ANDRA DAVIS(LB...Browns), ANDRE GOODMAN(CB..Dolphins), RONNIE FIELDS (DT..49ers) , JABAR GAFFNEY (WR..PATRIOTS), RENALDO HILL..(SS..DOLPHINS) Thats There Acquirements...aswell as ...2 O-lineman...a Long Snapper...Another DT...and A TE

Lots of pick ups but I doubt it will make a difference. Quality over Quantity.

Thats alright. Where has that taken the Washington Redskins the past few years? Not very far. And you'd think since McDaniels is coming from the Pats, he'd learn to do it their way. Build your team through the draft and sign maybe a FA or two. We'll see how things turn out for them.

They got a lot of pickups but their problems will stem from the change from 4-3 to 3-4. They currently have no rush linebackers for this system. I would expect them to draft one but who knows if the better one's will be available for their selection.

Actually it looks exactly like a NE free agency. Alot of semi big name guys with one or two big names. Corey Dillon, Junior Seau, Rodney Harrison, Rosevelt Colvin etc.. were all Free agents. Two of those guys Denver got were FA at NE, Lamont Jordan (raiders/jets) and Jabar Gaffney (Texans).

The difference between NE and Was. is that New England doesn't put all their chips on one big name guy. They just get alot FAs that have played at a slightly below Pro Bowl level and then top it off with one or two Pro Bowl kind of guys.
