i can see what the texans see in him.
with frank bush wanting to be more aggresive, do you think this kid will show up TJ and new DT shun cody? if he can for sure play like this video shows him playing, i can see great things for him. i only wonder if his hart is in football, if not, he will never be the player everyone thinks he can be.

Nice vid, hopefully he regains that form that made him "special" in his fresman and sophmore seasons.

I think he can be moderately successful in the DT rotation. But I don't see him ever player every down.

if and this is a pretty big IF he ever played up to his potential he could be the next big time DT...like a pat williams or dan wilkerson...dominant run-stuffers who also open things up for other d-lineman when rushing the passer...he could be great...but he has to make that decision himself...otherwise he'll be the average DT in a rotation of other average DT's

Our D line plays best when we rotate and keep our Dline fresher than the opponents O line. I don't like every down d linemen because they will wear down keep your d line fresh and you will win the battle in the trenches as the game progresses

well that's the best way of doing things...phily and NYG do the best job IMO of rotating their d-line...but they also have spent the money and the draft picks on their d-line...teams don't realize it but every draft you have to spend draft picks on d-lineman and o-lineman...everytime i see a team not draft one guy on both lines i shake my head

I agree completely. Pulling in guys like Bulman or Deljuan Robinson occasionally to help the rush is what helped us get the production we did from our defensive line.

yes but bulman is better suited for the DT rotation not the at DE

I just watched the video and wasn't impressed. Okam doesn't get his pads low enough thus he gets stood up to easily and doesn't play with enough lower body power to drive through a blocker. Someone his size should be much stronger in the legs and get his pads lower for better leverage. If he can fix those 2 things this year, he should be much better and on his way to being dominant.

Well if I had wheels I would be a wagon.
After all the negativity that surrounded him last year all he did was go out and prove them right.
Okam is what he is.
