This is one of the best ideas I have seen this off-season. Jujitsu will help develop grappling and take-downs for our O-line and D-line while Yoga will increase core strength and balance. I know that it doesn't necessarily seem manly or applicable to football but this new program should do great things for a football team that's going places!!

I think it's a great idea. Maybe this will keep some of those nagging injuries away.

Flexibility and balance...can't have enough of either one.

Absolutely - I'm all for it. Flexibility as well as solid core breathing exercises will do a lot to keep us injury free this year. I was pleased to see Schaub in the back there; the guy is way too stiff in his movements and I reckon this is going to be a big step towards him staying on the field the whole year.
Jujitsu as well - just learning the basics of how to use a player's weight and momentum against them will do wonders on both sides fo the ball. It means more effective movement and more direct application of energy, which means less outright grind and effort, which means staying fresher and stronger for longer.
I'm loving this offseason thus far. Can't wait for the draft.

I have said this for some time, as a instructor for police, this will greatly benefit the team to break free from lineman, backs etc. It will also give the O line great control and balance against defenders. I don't now exactly what they are teaching but I agree it will be very beneficial.

UHH manly? Yeah, I'm going to assume you are manly man...lets see you take on a jujitsu master and see how quick you start crying. LOL jk man but theres nothing un-manly about either in my book.....unless they start doing yoga with little pink tinkerbell skirts...

the real question is will this training be incorporated into regular season and off-season workouts...not just the pre-season...
