On nj.com it says the Texans open at home against the ny jets

Nice. A home opener for a change! Thanks Mike.

The Jets will open their season on Sept. 13th at Houston at 1 p.m., it has been confirmed.

The remainder of the scheduled is to be released at 7 p.m.

It is gonna be a good game to start the season off right. I am stoked! Just wish Bret would have made it one more year.

That will be a key game, win it and we are off, lose it and the haters come out. I just don't think they will have much of an offense, we can move the ball on them, I hope for a 10+ point win 31-17 ish

Exactly what I'm thinking. No Favre or Laveranues Cole on the team.

Plus with either Kellen Clemens, Brett Ratliff or Erik Ainge as the QBs on their depth chart, I'm guessing the D is licking their chops.

That seems like a good opener at first glance. But a word of caution: Under Kubes the Texans tend not to be ready to play at the start of the season.

Wow! How about a little optimism for a change? Not only does it seem like a good opener, it IS a good opener! The Jets will have a new coach. new system and new quarterback and it will be their first game on the road, against the Texans, who went 6-2 at home last year! Should be a lot of fun!!!

I am going to have to agree with you on that one. Sounds reasonable.

I expect it to be a decent year, but am going to go out on a limb and say the Jets will beat the Texans pretty badly in the opener. Remind me after the game if I blew it.

You must not have watched the Texans for more than 1 year. In 2007 Kubiak had us off to the best start in franchise history. You are right though... because last year was a horrible early schedule and a hurricane hit when we were supposed to have our home opener... he is horrible at getting us started.
