1 Sun, Sept. 13 vs. New York Jets CBS 1 p.m.

Home opener – Liberty White kickoff. The Jets will implement a similar style of play of the Ravens with Rex Ryan – a defense that flies around the field and a strong running game. Our o-line will get an early test and they need to be ready for pressure from every level of the defense. The jets already have a premier NT in Jenkins and brought in Scott to bolster the lb corps. Their qb situation is suspect so as long as we can be stout against the run, get a lead and force Clemons to throw, should result in a victory. It will be close but home field advantage will prevail.

Prediction – NYJ 17 HOU 21

2 Sun, Sept. 20 at Tennessee Titans CBS 1 p.m.

Titans are coming off a tough opener against the defending champs and they have 10 days to recover. This is a divisional road game where we can make a statement and feed off of our victory at the end of last year. This game will be a good barometer on how we progressed during the off season. It seems the loss of haynesworth has been minimized by the media…w/o him, it frees up another body on the o-line for KVB and/or kearse since Tony Brown isn’t going to command a double team. Schaub will feel pressure on the edges but should be able to step up in the pocket and deliver the ball unlike years past with big al in his face.

Prediction – HOU 14 TEN 12

3 Sun, Sept. 27 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars CBS 1 p.m.

Jacksonville has not done anything in the offseason to improve the roster and in all honesty appears to be in re-building mode. They have lost core players like Fred Taylor, Mike Peterson, Paul Spicer, Khalif Barnes, Drayton Florence, G. Sensebaugh, Matt Jones (who lit us up with slant after slant – ugh), Jerry Porter and Reggie Williams. If we don’t win this game, ill be upset.

Prediction – JAX 10 HOU 27

4 Sun, Oct. 4 vs. Oakland Raiders CBS 1 p.m.

The Raiders will be coming off 3 straight divisional games coming into town. I think this will be a tougher game than we think. Cable Guy has the guys he wants and at this point in the season, Russell will have progressed and will be doing well enough to stay in the starting line up or well be facing Garcia if hes playing poorly so either way we’ll be facing a decent man under center. Their run game will be stout and Nnamdi will shut down AJ all day.

OAK 24 HOU 13

5 Sun, Oct. 11 at Arizona Cardinals CBS 4:15 p.m.

Arizona has a bye in week 4 and an extra week to prepare and straighten up any issues from the first few weeks. This outta be a shoot out and I was honestly expecting this game as one of our Prime Time games. Hopefully we’ll be able to pressure Warner and whoever wins the TO battle is the winner.

Not sure how you can predict when you don't know the rosters yet, but as you said you're bored.

I agree, if we had beaten Oakland last season. Might be a trap game, but we knowe they aren't going to rollover so we will play tough

Nobody could see us losing to them last year either, besides Detroit and Cincy they were the 2nd or 3rd easiest game on our schedule last year. We go 5-1 to close the year and lose to the Raiders, the Raiders beats the Bucs the following week in tampa when tampa had a playoff spot in the balance. I would bet money on us winning but I will not feel comfortable until the game is over that game.

I agree with this.

I also think Arizona has always been a good one year, bad the next team. & they are going to be that team that lost the SuperBowl, and fail to make the play-offs.

I see us losing to the Jets, then winning the next 4.

You see us losing to the Jets but beating Tennessee? I haven't scouted the Jets, so I'm not sure about their lines, but, I'm betting that rookie coaching mistakes could be their downfall.

At the press conference when he took that job, Rex Ryan talked about how the team will be going to the White House in a couple of years to meet the Obamba's. Translation: I'm guaranteeing a Super Bowl Ring soon.

Most people crash and burn with that kind of swagger, so I'm guessing that Ryan has already looked at us and marked that game as a win, so maybe they'll come in unprepared.

Game 1. Jets have new HC and different defensive scheme. Still adjusting to it. No QB to mention. Catching them early is a blessing. Texan victory.

Game 2. Titans like us are under a new DC and a few other new D coaches. Kerry Collins is not good when under pressure. We need our New DLine to shine. S.Slaton is the key to this car. Last year he was the only back to rush for 100 yards against the Titans D, and he did it both times. We also need our draft to get us that powerback we so desperatly need. If we do I see a Texan upset in the making.

Game 3. You said all that needs to be said.
Game 4. First off, No One shuts down AJ. Russell IMO is just a tad better than VY. This game being at home I give the edge to the Texans in a close one.

Game 5. Cards are at home. Texans lose
My prediction 4-1 at this point, worse case 3-2. But need to beat Tenn in the worst way( Road game, Divisional opponent)

Our HC continues to make rookie coaching mistakes.

But I believe we're going to come out unfocused, against the Jets, get a wake up call, then roll.....
