Just throwing this out there to get some thoughts on it.

What if we find a trade partner that we move back, possibly out of the 1st round, and we receive their 2010 1st round pick (as well as others) and potentially trade our two 1st rounders in 2010 to move up and get him?

Obviously longshot idea but I think that guy is amazing and could be our Ed Reed or Troy P.

Just a random thought

It'll never happen, the Texans need their picks this year. I wish we were in a position to do something like that but we don't have enough talent or depth yet for something like that. If we did though I'd want Eric Berry-FS from Tennessee, he'll be the #1 FS next year, Mays will be #2. Mays screwed up by not coming out this year, he'd have been a 1st round pick and the 1st Safety taken in the draft and next year he'll be behind Berry.

Now way we would trade out this year for a #1 next and then bunndle 2#1's for one guy, Andre and Mario are already on our team. Mays is good but not that good.

Yeah. That's why I threw it out there. I know it's a long shot. Just something to get people talking. I understand how important this draft is but just wanted something a little different out there to munch on. thanks for your input. :D

I don't think anyone will be at our first pick that will warrant someone trading next year's first round choice plus several mid-rounders to have our 15th this year.

the only scenario I see us trading out of the first round entirely is with New England. They would have to have a specific guy they want to do this however - someone like Rey Maualuga if he slips down to us. Trade value equivalent would be their 34th, their 47th, and their 89th for our 15th. They have 12 picks this draft, so they can move up for a perfect fit if they so choose. New England doesn't have a history of parting with a bunch of picks, however. They usually out-trade someone else.
