Eagles traded their 28th overall pick and a 2nd day pick for Peters. I was hoping the Eagles could have been a trade back option for us in the first round. The two first round picks for our first and second round picks would have been great. I doubt they make a deal now.

Yeah it's def. a dead deal for us a trading partner. The only reason to trade up was to get their LT. Well now they got it in Jason Peters. Oh well, I still believe there will be other teams looking to move up.

They can still trade up if Beanie falls to 15 and give us their first and another second or 3rd rounder You never know how things shake out
as far as the trade goes sounds like its payback for the Darwin walker trade debacle. Peters is a talented LT but has been an annual holdout for contract talks I wouldnt want him

Buffalo wil lbe hard pressed to replace him at the 28th pick Beatty or Britton, maybe now they Go Oher at 11 and Defense at 28

Guess my voodoo dolls didn't work! j/k
Looks like Oher is going to the Bills now and we will probably have to be content with the picks we have.

I dont know how likely this is but Moreno may still be there 21. If not, there is still McCoy, D. Brown, and some other decent backs in rd 2-3.

yea but how many can carry the load if westbrook goes down? They have nothing behind him as far as talent goes. They almost need to get a bluechip runner

Yeah true but I think they may feel comfortable with Moreno if he fell to them. Who knows, but any deal or potential deal with them is, I believe dead.

They could still give us there 2nd or 3rd & 4th to move from 21 to 15 if they really think San Diego will take Morenoe, especially if Wells goes 14 to NO, id take it, at 21 we still get Jerry, Cush or Mathews

Moreno and Wells will be gone by the 20th pick. I think the two will end up on 2 of these three teams - Jets/Denver/Chargers. Jets have a 30 year old back and Moreno would be huge value. Rex Ryan will need a strong running game all year to take pressure off of his young QBs. Denver loves Moreno and what they can do with him in their spread offense. Chargers need a bigger back and future replacement for LT and Wells will be BPA on their turn. So, slight chance Philly could still want to move up but Reid hasn't ever drafted a first round RB, so I wouldn't put alot of faith in this. I would guess they will go Pettigrew at 21. Reid loves his big guys and Pettigrew can block and catch passes. Eagles don't have a TE either.
Has Owen Daniels signed his tender? today is the last day to sign, I believe, if he has not. Would definitely shake things up some more if Philly claims him in the last hour of the day.....

I could also see Cleveland in the mix with there 2 2nd rd picks if Wells falls to 15. You could also have Arizona looking at Moreno if he is still there. As far as Philly I think they'll stay at 21 and take Pettigrew, gives them a very good blocker, and reciever for Mcnabb.

The 3 teams I didnt think that would take a RB. Well besides NYJ and Denver, I could see SD taking a back. The Jets, while yes are thin at RB(only have Jones and Washington and then some no namers, they have more pressing needs I believe. Denver just signed a blevy of RBs in LaMont Jordan, JJ Arrington, and Correll Buckhalter and have the Shanahan left overs in Ryan Torrain and Selvin Young. SD I could see go RB but I think they want to go defense with their pick. Perhaps a DE like Jackson or Maybin or a LB like Rey Maualuga then I would say RB and might look hard if Wells is there. As for Philly, if no RB is there, I agree, a guy like Pettigrew could be the pick there. And as to if OD signed his tender, no idea. I hope he did.

http://www.fannation.com/truth_and_rumors/view/98058 - Denver is "High" on Moreno. they will use those other guys as 3rd down specialist and Jordan as the back-up. Look for some cuts in the beginning of September. One more for ya: http://broncosbanter.com/2009/04/12/seven-round-mock-draft-knowshon-moreno-a-bronco/#more-254

That wasnt a knock at you but I guess you took it that way, as said, I just didnt think those 3 teams would go RB with more pressing needs. Broncos need a defense to stop anyone, Jets have some no name QBs(go ahead and tell me Brett Ratliff or Erik Ainge or Kellen Clemens strikes fear into you), and the Chargers have needs on the right side of the line and on could use some help on the defensive end side. Maybe throw in some secondary help too.

I didn't take your comment as a knock. Just wanted to back-up my earlier post. Anyway, those three teams will be in the same spot as us. That is, they will be sitting there with their needs and more than likely BPA will be one of those two backs. Most teams draft BPA. So, under the BPA theory, you pull the trigger. Each team has interviewed or worked out one or both of those two RBs. So, I don't think I am reaching to project Moreno and Wells are off the board by the 20th pick. It just so happens that they both become so blatantly the BPA on a board by pick 17.

Yeah I guess thats true if they do go BPA. Who knows, Wells could go as early as 5 to Cleveland

Denver wont take a RB early cause they paid for 3 free agent RB's in offseason already. They will grab one late. Denver has a way bigger needs on defense since they are switching to 3-4. Chargers are paying for both LT and Sproles but yes they could be looking for a replacement to LT. But it wont be a 1st rounder.. They are expected to go LB first round. whether its ray, cushing, or matthews. They also run a 3-4. Jets Have Jones And Washington like mentioned. Yea they prob will grab a RB in this draft but it will be late also. With the loss of coles. and no true OB starter. They are expected to go with Josh Freeman 1st round and if he is gone then WR next. and i agree well and moreno will prob be there for pick 20. not many teams need a starting RB right now.

maybe Philly will still be in the trade-up mix at 15 afterall......
here is what could happen:
Houston trades 15 and 4th round pick to Philly for 21st and second round pick - TVC is 1120 to 1120. Philly gets Moreno.
Houston then trades 21st pick and our other 4th rounder to Buffalo for 28th pick and their 3rd round pick. TVC is 860 to 885. Buffalo gets Pettigrew.
Houston ends up with:
28th
46th
58th
75th
77th
Now, this would be a fantastic scenario. We would come out with 5 of these positions OLB, S, CB, RB, G/C, DE/DT or WR depending on who was BPA on our board at the time.
Draft could look like:
Barwin/Mathews/D. Butler/Cushing/Sean Smith
Unger/BA OLB if we go DB
Lawrence Sidbury/Shonn Greene/Andre Brown
Lawrence Sidbury/BA RB/BA OLB if we still have not picked one
Coye Francies/BA G/BA RB
This type of draft would have the highest impact on our team next year. two starters by mid-season (OLB, G)/ one key contributor and potential starter (RB)/one situational specialist (DE)/quality depth that can play either FS or CB and be developed into a starter.

as great as the scenario sounds..us trading with two people..is very unlikely..id be surprised if we trade with one person. As much as id love a trade down there is a few people we don't wanna miss on...
