Posted by Aaron Wilson on April 17, 2009, 2:03 p.m.
Oregon State All-Pac 10 Conference offensive tackle Andy Levitre projects to offensive guard in the NFL, and the 6′3,” 305-pound lineman has drawn interest from several NFL teams, according to Scout.com.

Levitre has taken official visits with the Buffalo Bills, New Orleans Saints, Cleveland Browns, San Diego Chargers and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

At the NFL Scouting Combine, he met with a dozen teams for formal interviews.

The 39-game starter sat down with the Oakland Raiders, New York Giants, New York Jets, San Diego, Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins, Washington Redskins, Steelers, Philadelphia Eagles, Carolina Panthers, Houston Texans and the Tennessee Titans.

wouldn't read too much into this...the texans have probably met with well over 100 prospects...just because they've met with him doesn't mean they are targetting him in the draft

Agreed. Although I wouldn't mind taking him in the 4th if he were to be there.

I doubt he will be there past the 2nd round. Mayock has him as his #1 Guard.

Levitre will most likely go in the 2nd round or maybe the very early 3rd at the latest. He'd be a great pick for the Texans.

I'm an Oregon State season ticket holder, i've watched every single game this guy has played in his career. he's mobile, played in the ZBS in college and has blocked for thousand yard rushers every year he's been a beaver. He can get upfield and run block has been one of the most consistent players, not just linemen in the Pac-10, and i would LOVE to take this guy in the third, and possibly even the second should he be there, he's good enough to take in the second round.
