View Full Version : New potential trade scenario

Buffalo reportedly believes their back-up OT is ready to start - so they don't need an OT at the 11th pick. Buffalo's biggest needs are a TE and a DE. So, there is potential for Buffalo to pick their DE at 11th spot and then want to move up for Pettigrew - who will probably be picked by either Detroit or Philly and certainly he won't get past Atlanta.
So, there is potential for Buffalo to dangle the 28th and 42th pick out to us for the 15th. TV is 1050 for 1140 - so we may have to throw in our 4th or 5th round pick too.
1) does anyone view this as a realistic scenario?
2) if you do, who would you pick at 28?

umm detroit wont get pettigrew...with rebuilding..TE is not a 1st round need...eagles want a TE..but they also want Moreno to back up Westbrook...i agree with atlanta wanting him though. but i can see him easily falling to 2nd round. as for ur question..i would do the trade..but it is highly unlikely...

It sounds like a good idea. Of course, any team from 20-23 could be contacted by Buffalo about moving back/trading up.
If they contacted us, you already know my guy at 28.

The Texans already have stars on the team.
Trades like this are meant to fill holes and add needed depth. Here you get a late 1st round pick and a mid 2nd round pick.
Texans would be able to address team needs without having to reach.
But, the only way this type of trade goes down is if the Texans see a lot of quality rated 2nd round picks they like.
It's better to take a 2nd rounder you like and fits your system, over getting a highly touted prospect you don't feel confident about.

as we get closer to draft day....i dont see any trade scenario unfolding unless it involves josh freeman. Moving up to #15 for pettigrew wont happen its not a dire need. They would trade right before atlanta more then anything if it was that much desired. Plus NE will have two 1st rounders by the end of day one..since they have 3 2nd rounders...Atlanta needs help in there LB core though after losing brooking to dallas and boley to NYG. So maybe they trade with us to get cushing/matthews. But in the end. U never know.
