Jim Miller and Randy Cross referenced story in Sporting News Today online edition, said if you take drafts of last 5 Super Bowl champions it is stability that makes difference. Having most of your team from draft, keeping high picks as starters and getting production from mid & late rounders.

This is not in any way a comparision to being a Super Bowl team. BUT look at Texans and how they have done

Slaton got totally shafted last season as well. They are both pro bowlers in my book.

if we had won more games Slaton would have gone. Houston is still for the most part an unwatched team by the rest of the naion. And will continue to be that way until we prove we are contenders. Being last in the division every year but one isn't drawing atention to our players.

Hopefully we get this thing going this year. I'm getting tired of waiting and am starting to feel like i did when i rooted for he oilers. Year in and year out. Every year i feel like we are making the necessary steps to jump to the next level but our mistakes on the field kep us from doing that.

Plus we aren't getting ahead of our rivals as they all look to be improving as well this year with the exception of the titans who need litle improvement anyway.

Are we just treading water here? I'm hoping this is our breakout season. And our deserving players get the recognition they deserve.

I never liked the aspect of fan voting. Then it just becomes a popularity contest. I like it with just the players voting. They know who is good.
