They have a pretty good history at lb though. And if you look at it like that and just take an entire school of the board, you miss the Troy Polomalu's and the Carson Palmers.

The same can be said about a lot of college players ( Longhorns ).

He's not saying that Longhorns don't bust. They're looking at the percentages of players drafted from certain schools that bust. The numbers don't lie. Looking at players from rounds 1-3 from schools shows some scary stuff if you're drafting a Trojan or Buckeye...they haven't historically performed as well as Canes or Horns or Wolverines in the NFL.
For every Carson Palmer, Polamalu, or Tutupu, there are three Frostee Ruckers.

Texas was tops at almost every category. I always hated it when people bash UT prospects. Now they can shut up. Every school has busts, but UT does produce good players.

That's a great article but the numbers are meaningless without some facts. The most glaring ommission is what players are included in the list and what is the criteria for a bust? I also find it interesting that an article proclaiming Texas to be tops of just about every catagory was published by the UTex section of Rivals.
Also, the problem with UTex players is not necessarily the high bust potential but that they typically take 3+ years to adjust to the NFL level and to become solid contributors. When teams are looking to be competitive now, 3+ yrs is a long time to wait on a 1st/2nd round pick. Most teams typically expect a 1st/2nd round pick to contribute (if not start) as a rookie.

Hampton has done well for Pitts. Also Jammer and Ross have been solid corners.
