NFL.com reports the St. Louis Rams bought QB Mark Sanchez a plane ticket for Sunday, April 26th, the same day they will introduce their top pick to the media.
Maybe they're just covering all bases with this one.

yeah could easily be a smokescreen...then again Spagnulo might just want his own QB to mold...

Hard to tell. Rams could probably use him but I think they need OL worse, Tackles to be more specific.

Agree. This could very well be a smoke screen, testing out the water to see if any other teams that are interested in Sanchez would trade up.

Smart move buying the ticket. A few teams should be breaking out into a cold sweat right now!!!

I hope the Rams do take Sanchez. Mostly because every talking head on ESPN and NFL Network are saying there is no chance Sanchez goes to the Rams. They are ALL deadset that he'll be around at # 8 so the Jaguars will trade.
Personally, I feel when Georgia Frontiere died, The writing was on the wall for the Rams and they may just be the team that returns to Los Angeles. How nice would it be for them if the face of their franchise is a USC Trojan ? ;)

When the NFL Network made that report, they also said that the Billy Goats had also made reservations for Monroe, J.Smith, Curry, and 1 or 2 others whose names I didn't catch, because some sound engineer didn't cut off Mooch's mike when they were talking to the reporter in St. Louis.

Who knows? Marc Bulger hasn't been super productive lately, but he's also had a swiss cheese line protecting him.
If St. Louis is in love with Sanchez's leadership abilities, they may decide to have him sit for a year or two behind marc bulger, and try to pick up a tackle next year, or with their first pick in the 2nd round, provided their is one available that matches the value of that pick.
Smoke.
You don't make a $35 million dollar player fly commercial. Everyone of these owners at least has a timeshare jet.

They need a LT to replace Pace. It's really the only pick that makes sense for them...Monroe, Smith, the other Smith, Oher...they need a big o-lineman.

They could always sign a free agent OT.
