The only pick that was any good was the first with Cushing. Other than that, Conner Barwin is a converted TE to DE, still needs a lot of coaching. Quin, is not the guy I had in mind when we were going DB. You can see in his highlight film, on some of his "Big Plays" he was actually beat, if not burned, and his teammate made a play and just happend to be in the right spot. And then a TE, really!!?? If we were going for a TE why not go for the hometown guy,Casey, who I believe was graded higher than the guy we actully got. I know we've had the best drafts in recent years but I think the FO is reading too much into their own press clippings. Now they think they can just pick anybody...

Casey is about 20-30lbs lighter than Hill. Hill would be Bruener's replacement as blocking first catching second.

not waste 8 picks on half *** players that cant come in to help the texans win some games.

Here is what NFL.com said about him
Pick Analysis: Hill is a big, blocking tight end with adequate speed. He is almost like having a third tackle in the game. He's probably the best blocking tight end in this draft. The Texans have the receiving tight end in Owen Daniels, and now they have the blocker to go along with him

He won't he is on the verge of extinction, and so are his comments. I think it is funny how these people show up and know exactly what will and will not help this team. It is comical.

considering the problems Duane Brown had at tackle last year, my hope is tat our new tight end will line up over there and help out. Daniels is a below average blocker at best.
I was pretty happy with the draft until I read these bogus threads! Still am!
Our corners will get better once we pressure the quarterback. Part of that comes with players, but part comes with scheme. We will have an attacking scheme that makes it easier to defend.

I don't understand some folks. But, then again...I guess Draft Day is like Christmas to them. Folks forget that you can still get toys after Dec25th.

4th round seems high for a blocking te that caught 4 passes year, and we have 2 blocking te's on our roster behind owens.
the redskins had the 4th rated def last year and had less sacks than the texans 22nd rated def did. they did not put presure on the qb either. yes, robison was out for awhile, but he is back and not happy. the texans have never had an impact saftey and it shows. cc brown did well, but he is gone. barber and harrison are still learning. zack diles lead the team in tackles before he got hurt and adibi and june can play. we paid a FA DE alot of money to play opposite mario. so, to me, our secondary needs help. both safties and a cb. and finding a backup for slaton that they can count on, or at least taking a chance on finding one. thats all im trying to say. i love the texans, but think they went in wrong direction early, and keep on going. but i do love the te casey from rice pick!

Why is that good stuff? Are you being sarcastic? I hope so!
RASHAD JENNINGS IS THE CLEAR ANSWER! Are we going to put Casey at WR?

Calm down! They have planning and working on this for quite a long time. I trust our FO to make the best decision, not the most popular one.
They've said it over and over. If a player that they have him ranked high on the board is still available, they're gonna grab him. It it's a waste or not, we don't know that yet!

Bruener is getting old. Hill takes over for him.
Casey is versatile player. Can play all over the place.
Obviously they aren't thrilled with any of the RBs or DBs in the later stages of the draft...
But you have to have faith guys. I PROMISE Rick and Gary know more than any of us!!!

Last seasond raft was labeled a waste by many as well. We got some weak RB froma college system that woudl never work in the NFL, we stretched in order to grab a LT so that we could try and get some blocking and then wasted all our other picks on filler that would never pan out.
I am glad you posted this so that we can look back at you and laugh at the end of the season.
Thank you!!!
