Mike Mayock (spelling?) on nfl network just gave a shout out to the Texans for make great choices and much said it's one of the teams that jump out at him. Maybe these guys that make a living in football know what they're talking about.

Casey was a value pick...a freakin steal if you ask me!!!

selecting two te's when te wasnt a need position makes no sense. I agree with the casey pick but not the hill pick...especially when andre brown, rashad jennings and gartrelle johnson were on the board for the picking....as you can see Casey was still there for the later pick which im stoked about....but where is Slatons help???

It was widely discussed by the Texans that it was a need they were trying to resolve. That problem has not even been attempted to be resolved.

Considering the versatility he could bring as a 'slash' player, I'm very happy with him in the fifth.

To others- Don't think of him as a TE, think of him as an offensive player with ball skills.

After seeing some film on Casey. He is not your typical TE. I'm not as confused as before.

I watched Casey basically single-handedly hand the Cougars their b u t t s this past season as a TE, a deep threat, returning kicks, running the ball...and passing! (he would have been Rice's QB had he stayed another year, I believe I read). This pick is PERFECT. And Hill is the upgrade we needed for goalline packages. Our draft is going extrememly well (imo).

Well he's in the NFL now and he's not going to be playing against the likes of the Cougars. And with 4.67 speed, he's not going to be much of a deep threat either.

It is hard to say why they decided to take Casey over andre brown, rashad jennings and gartrelle johnson, but a lot of the draft specialist all talk and know who everyone is just about going to take. In other words, maybe the Texans know that Jennning and the other guys would be available when it came back around. I actually like Casey, not Hill though.

SUPERFREAK!! SUPERFREAK!! SHE'S SUPERFREAKY!!!

DUDE, no "fan" is "freaking" out.

We are just a little apprehensive that the RB position hasn't been addressed thus far when the FO had it as a stated goal.

They don't like ANY RB. The ball will enter the goal line via remote controlled robots. Really cool technology coming out next year. You shall see!!

Or the fact that guys like Selvin Young, Ryan Torain, Peyton Hillis, etc. will all be released within the week.

I hope that the Texans take Hillis if he is released. Next round, I say either Cosby or Harrell.

Maybe they weren't satisfied with what they had to choose from..
