two really solid college backs, hopefully one or both of them can contribute.

Probably just as well to use UDFAs and experienced free agents to find some RB depth. It's better than using a 5th or 6th rounder on a RB just because they are a RB and passing up an opportunity to pick up some quality prospects elsewhere, IMO.
I'm not sure there's that big of a drop off between what they could have gotten in the 4th/5th round at RB and Johnson and Foster. It sounds like they were keen on using their 3rd rounder for a RB but when there wasn't a talent there to justify using it they went with Caldwell for the Oline.

the Broncos have 9 RB's on their roster now, most of which are decent and played last year. im sure the Texans are just waiting on one to be cut since they drafted Moreno

Our two backs were ranked 9th and 11th of all undrafted players. Good sign.......

i agree these are good signings. we only need a compliment for slaton. i prefer doing it this way with such a weak overall draft, we are getting just about the same talent at a way better value then blowing picks on reaching for a back.

That site gave both '4th round value,' which seems accurate. This draft looks better and better.

I was a little aggrevated at first that we didn't address RB in the draft, But after listening to Gary's reasoning, I came around. I hope both of these guys can really give Slaton a break, it would be a shame to ruin such a good back by over using him.
I can't remember the name of a rb we have that played a little at the end of last season. it's on the tip of my tongue(finger?). Any help? He looked like he had potential.
