...an "A" grade for the draft also. I guess all my belly-aching about rounds 4 - 7 are the ramblings of an dum-dum. But I knew that already. :D

To be fair, there are several fans here, who were/are just as upset.
I'd like to know what needs were addressed, and were those our needs before the draft..
I'm happy with the picks, don't get me wrong.
But I'm confused.

The "needs" were more acute on the defensive side of the ball, which is why you saw them use 3 of their top 5 picks, including their top 2, on defensive players.
As for RB, once they couldn't get one of the two 3rd round level backs they wanted, they didn't reach and draft a RB who wasn't worthy of going in the 3rd round. Instead, they drafted a high quality offensive lineman who's played every spot on the Oline in a SEC program. The running game starts with the offensive line, so that was a very good decision.
All in all, I don't see much to complain about with this draft. They improved the defense and each of the picks they made were not stretches. Now that they were able to land Foster and Johnson, they have two RB prospects who are as good as anyone they could have drafted in rounds 4 through 7 (perhaps better...we'll see).

oh...and I think this guy gave only four other "A's", those being for the Jets, Lions, Bengals, and the Eagles.

I don't know what there is to be confused about. All our picks serve obvious roles. This team didn't have serious issues at most starting positions, so we got one immediate starter and a bunch of role players, which is why we went after athletes.
Starters:
1. Cushing: Everyone knew or thought we lacked size at LB, and Diles and Adibi were both injured last year and Ryans was beat up (he isn't that big himself). In addition to that, none of our linebackers had success rushing the quarterback and our run defense was its usual pathetic self. There were many times when we blitzed but just never even got close. Cushing adds serious size. Quickness wasnt an issue, but he maintains our speed at LB while adding a big hit and block shedding ability, as well as being adept at getting to the QB.
Role players/projects:
2. Barwin: He is admittedly a project, but is someone with top flight ability at getting to the QB and a super athlete. People need to get out of this mindset that all DE's need to look like Mario Williams. For every Mario, there are five Robert Mathis's, Elvis Dumervil's, and John Abraham's. These guys are 245lbs ,260lbs, and 263lbs respectively. We have a 280lb DE in Antonio Smith for running downs, then he kicks in and we put our best speed rusher outside of him on passing downs...who was that before Barwin came along?
this is our speed rusher. Exactly what we've lacked since Antwan Peek left...and lets hope he's better than Peek.
3. Caldwell: I won't bother with this since no one has a problem with it.
4a. Quinn: He doesnt get me excited, but he makes sense: None of our CB's have stepped up to the point where they can't be challenged for playing time and our Safeties are a mixed bag of question marks. I like wilson, but I said the same thing about Demps before he became a non-factor. Barber is a second year guy with very little time in a game. Harrison hasnt shown anything. Also has return abilities.
7. Nolan...same thing
4b. Hill: Bruener retired. we didnt have a blocking tight end...now we do.
5. Casey: Best player available, can play TE, FB, Special teams, long snap, slot receiver...i can't imagine people having a problem with this pick either.
6. McCain: puts the heat on JJ, adds speed to the secondary which the Reeves signing showed our FO values.
For me, the only questionable move was lack of a RB, but clearly other teams saw the dearth of talent out there also. I was begging for Jennings since the 3rd round, but he must have had some real issues for eveyone to pass him up. We'll get some vet to come in and spell slaton.

He (Czarnecki) is a BOZO, he claimed in drafts from 2005-08 we didn't draft very well. His A is worth about as much as his IQ
