i think weaver will have a good year for the texans. with all the attention going to mario and amobi, weaver should hopefully be a good under the radar playmaker this year. i was excited last year when we were able to pic him up and with mario and amobi playing on the same line i think we are going to see a very productive left defensive end... thaughts???

i with you on this, and plus if you look on the depth chart (not that it is official...yet) hes lined up next to amobi, he's going to benifit alot when amobi wan okoye wrecking havoc on the inside[:D]

I think he'll have a good year, but I wouldn't expect more than 7 sacks. He's just not an elite pass rusher but is tremendous against the run.

I expect his stats to be similar to a DTs but his leadership and run stopping ability will prove invaluable throughout the season. He's a high motor player that is one of the premier run stopping DEs in the NFL.

Maybe for once we will have a formidable line capable of penetrating.

i agree weaver will have a good year. but i also agree that he is not a big pass rusher i think that babin will have his best year coming in on passing situations next to akoye (how ever you spell)

CALL ME CRAZY but..... I think that this Texans D Line will get to peyton more than a few times.I think that their offensive live is too small for the likes of our new edition and Weaver.

I have liked the pickup of Kalu and Weaver as free agents along with drafting Mario and Amobe. I think this front defensive line is going to be real good and should be able to bring some pressure on opposing qbs. If the offensive line double teams one of our guys its going to lead to one on one somewhere else. Football is won or lost in the trenches. I think our defensive trench is very solid.

I see Weaver having a good year not a break out year. With his run stopping capabilities I see Mario benefiting alot from that and Mario having a very good year. Weaver should have something like 8 sacks with like 7 btlos tackles. (I know yall like that BTLOS stat. I'm making it up for us since you know who gets the total yards stat.)
