Texans sporting a patch on their uniform

Is the logo patch I've seen on the jerseys new for this season? Or is it only a practice jersey patch?

I had assumed the patch was going to be replaced by the "advertisment logo" that was recently offered by the team. I would actually like to see the Texans logo stay on the shoulder opposite the captains "C" becaus eit adds a little flare to the jersey.

My guess for the time being is that during TC this logo will be replaced with the company logo that purchased this ad spot. (I think it was the Texas Lottery or something... since the porn company was not able to secure the ad spot.) :)

If the Texans are wanting to sell ad space, put the ads on the seat backs of Reliant Stadium. The big spender can have their ad on the retractable roof so when it closes or is closed, all can see. I pray the roof will be open for many of the games. Thank goodness for last year's storm. Keep the logo patch, lose the red on red. Red on white for Battle Red Day.
