I have been on the Jets message board and tried to explain why the Texans are going to put a southern butt whooping on them. But they just don't seem to understand. I was hoping that maybe somebody else could explain this to them in a language they may understand. Your cooperation is appreciated.

Why bother?

They won't admit the truth no matter how you tell it.

You know the sound a Shotgun makes when you pump it? It does not matter what Language you speak, you know what it is saying!!!!

So Jets fans, we are Pumping our Shotguns for ya & will let the bullets fly on the field!!!

There is only one universal language and it is "Violence" think about it, bring me anyone from any country or any animal for that matter and he or it will understand Violence.

So what I am saying here is, our more aggressive D and strong O will be bringing the universal language to town and installing the secondary language for years to come "FEAR"

Ooooo! That will wind up on their bulletin board. They are going to beat us.

Let me get this straight...do you think they are going to beat the Texans, or are you just being sarcastic?

I propose that you go to every teams message board that we play and explain how we are gonna give them all the beat down...then come back here and tell us how many opposing teams message boards agreed with you.

Of course the Jets fans disagree. I would expect no less. What would popeye do if a jet fan came here and said we were gonna get stomped by them. Thats right....Popeye would be whoopin out the can of spinach on their sorry butts.

Are you suggesting that HEB send a case or 2 of Spinach to the Texans locker room before games? Popeye could probably play a lil harder than TJ regardless... lol...

I had to look at last year for comparrison's sake, and what I found suggests this game will be as big a challange as any. This is the first game, and with our history of slow starts this game needs to go well. First thing I saw is this, Jets pts/pr/gm 25.3 (offense) Texans pts/pr/gm 22.9 (offense), Jets pts/pr/gm 22.2 (deffense) Texans pts/pr/gm 24.6 ( deffense)so in stats we are a 1.4 point underdog ( .7 Jets offense to our D, & .7 vice versa). I would have to say the Jets D will be inproved due to the addition of Bart Scott and RRyan. The offense, I would think, will suffer. Brett was good at the start of last year and I am not sure either of the Jets QB's can match his play. I do see the improvements we have made and the fact that every offensive starter is coming back is a major plus for that side of the ball, but RRyan has a good deffensice scheme. On D, I see & believe who ever the Jets start will not be ready for the amount of pressure the Texan will bring, this one thing makes me believe in a win in week 1.

The biggest change is that their QB will be starting his first REAL NFL game inside Reliant Stadium and it is going to be a BIG welcome to the NFL for him. He will be running playing and doing the best he can with our homefield advantage screaming in his ear.

Good luck with your first game rookie! You are going to need it! Our secondary better have a field day while we get enjoy the "David Carr" style play from the other side of the ball for a change!!!

BRING ON THE JETS BABY!!! I CANNOT WAIT!!!

Granted he was at home but David Carr did win his first ever football game, and threw TWo TD passes (Miller/Bradford) We will have to be real loud to get him nervous, a few nice blitzes will help too

Dude lay off the Pac 10, they play some good football in the Pac, I agree it is not the SEC but the Pac can rival the Big 12 not last year but in years past.

I hope they play Sanchez odds are he implodes but they are not going to ask much off him, we are gonna have 8 in the box stopping the run, just daring them to pass most of the game.

Depends if U live in BFE? or New York! lol.. or is it one in the same? Can't really afford $$ But how about your favorite 6 pack to mine? Oh what the Heck, lets lay it all out, go for a 12pack. oh & BTW, Shiner Bock please & a bag of ice. I have got my own cooler.....

The Jets had a great ground attack last year but also had the Great Brett FAVRE (fav 're) and defenses couldn't put 8 in the box on them the future maybe great Dirty Sanchez won't get that respect. Sanchez scares me more than Greene, but I still think we make him look like a rookie.

Greene may get lots of playing time as Thomas Jones and Leon Washington are both threatning holdouts (maybe)

While I do agree we walked in way too confident for that matchup, the Steelers aren't exactly the Jets. The Jets' D is nowhere near the level of the Steelers. And while I don't like Big Ben is all that, he is a legit NFL QB while we don't know how Sanchez is going to be.

My thoughts are new QB + new head coach = team not in sync yet. Therefore if our defense can apply pressure early and often we should have the advantage. Having a new QB the offense's points per game last year becomes a mute point. The jets will be a lot stronger later in the season so we have an advantage in playing them early.

I think we will win. It may not be pretty but it will count.

I agree 100% with the defense needing to attack Sanchez & get him rattled early.

I on the other hand, am looking for it to be a decisive win 28-10 Texans.... With 2 scores coming from the defense & special teams.

I didnt read this entire thread, but we are 0-3 against them so why should they think any different? Although I do think we will win this game very easily talk is cheap. We have def. been known to lose ones that we should win so why should their fans not think they can get one against a team that has never beaten them?

I wouldn't be so quick to talk smack on the Jets board since we haven't beaten either NYC team yet. Just lets not talk and let our play on the field do the talking. I think we handle them pretty easy but this is only on paper....we still have to play ball on the field.

Well if Jameel Cook wuld have fumble the dam ball in the meadowland we could have atleast beat the Giants a few years ago, man that was a tough game.

I agree lets start the trash talking as we leave Reliant with the victory in hand and not before so. I made the mistake of letting some Colt fan have it when we were up 17 point and had the game in hand last year, boy did I feel dumb........

Just read on bspn.com that the jets think that sanchez had a better day 1 of camp...but if you look at their stats they are clearly mistaken...said the defense should have had a few picks, but commanded the huddle better...he went 2-5 in 11 on 11 drills while his counter part Kellen clemens went 4-8. Coach even admitted sanchez didnt have a good day of throwing the ball!!!

Their probowl NT also got hurt...isnt serious though...or so they say...

I dont like when other teams fans come here and troll, so I dont do it myself. This is the NFL and any team can beat another on any given sunday, no game is a sure win. I think the Texan's are capable of winning, but I think the Jets will be more than worthy. Texans are a good home team and I think Frank Bush has been hiding his cards a bit so far, Texans 24 Jets 13.

Since I won two different handicapping contests in Vegas - lived there for 7 years betting sports and playing poker for a living (not on the side) - You and I might have a different idea of what a small wager is. I'll be at the game - I'll give you sec/seat info and we can meet - & agree on the wager. After Houston covers by a touchdown or more I'll gently take your mortgage or rent money and use it to buy a snow-cone. I'll start by giving you the 4 & 1/2 and have no problem pushing it to -6 & 1/2. Anything under a touchdown and your bet will be seen here but paid to me. So - Wager?
