The Jaguars play the first of 10 home games this year Saturday night — two in the preseason and eight in the regular season — and the team has already announced all 10 will be blacked out on TV because of a lack of ticket sales.
This will be the first time in their 15-year history that they’ve blacked out all 10 games and the stadium might be only, about half-filled Saturday night.
I'm a little bit late on this, but yikes. No offense Houston fans, but I remember the final season the Oilers had in Houston. Nobody showed up to the games. The Oilers wound up going 2-6 at home, but 6-2 on the road.
I think we're reaching an end of an "era" of NFL in Jacksonville. Perhaps rightfully so. That's Dolphins/Falcons/Bucs/Gators territory over there.

There's been talk the last few years of the Jags relocating to L.A. For some reason, it hasn't happened.
Did you know that Austin, TX is the largest city in the United States that DOES NOT have a professional sports team. Make that happen (fill in the blank with name of some rich guy in Austin). That'd give us a Texas Triangle in the NFL and NBA. They'd sell out every game.

Jerry Jones will never allow the Austin-San Antonio area to get a team. Hes fought against it tooth and nail over the years.

Austin doesn't need a pro team. It's a college town.

I never thought of it that way but that's a very good point.

HAHA!!!! Classic!
The Texans have more trouble getting people to come to their games than Jacksonville does. That is why Bob McNair stands outside the stadium paying people cash to go into the games.

If Texas were to get a 3rd team, which would never happen, San Antonio would be the primary market and Austin the secondary market. Similar to Orlando being Jaguar's secondary market.

I'm just saying
The Chargers having games blacked out is somewhat surprising. Playoff team and all last year with big name players.

if you actually read the article, the team president explains exactly what is happening.
