Defending Andre Johnson against cowboy fans. Let me fill you guys in here are our posts from another forum.
I start out by saying that Andre Johnson is the Best Receiver in the NFL right now, then I throw them this, "Andre Johnson is suing Myspace for taking the name of what he calls everything around you!!". lol.
But I guess its forbidden for them to laugh and they respond with this.
"Almost but Larry Fitzgerald is a lil better"
"I'd pick Fitzgerald over Johnson for my fantasy football team."
"Jason Witten beats out Andre Johnson...And thats cuz he's a tight end"
At this point I respond with this....
"Fitzgerald better? Or even Jason Witten? Ha ha, thats just funny. Fantasy wise I would say Fitzgerald because if Schaub is healthy he will spread the ball more. But overall best?! I have to say Johnson and the numbers prove my point. Put Andre Johnson with a Hall of Fame quarterback(Kurt Warner) and line him up with another pro bowl wide reciver (Anquan Boldin) to take away some coverage, and we will see who puts up bigger numbers. Johnson has been putting these staggering numbers with our crappy qbs!!. As far as comparing him to Jason Witten, ha ha, common you just cant."
They continue with this...
"A good receiver doesn't need another receiver to attract attention. Alvin Harper was great with Michael Irvin. Harper left the Cowboys and became nothing. Irvin went on to a great career and another super bowl and a hall of fame induction. If Andre Johnson was THAT good, he wouldn't need someone on the other side of the field.
"Don't get me wrong, he's good but he's still got a lot to prove. "<-- this guy is supposedly their football guru...
and with every guru everyone has to agree as with the guy who posts after him....
"I'm with Chuck on this one. Same thing happened with Roy Williams in Detroit. Had a couple of Pro Bowl seasons up in there with Jon Kitna (Kitna aint no superstar QB). In fact he even led the league in most receiving catagories in a few of those years. Then he fizzles out, gets traded to Dallas, who is a much better all around team, and didn't produce the great numbers he was expected to put up. And that's because he was lining up across T.O."
"randy moss 23 td's in a single season nfl record."

What Cowboy site was it? I know a lot of Cowboy fans that love and spect Johnson.
you might as well be arguing with a fence post.
Why even bother trying to reason with Cowboy fans?
They're full of the Cowboy kool-aid... among other things.
Cowboy Kool-Aid, isn't that the stuff found in toilets?

just remind them that the last time they won a playoff game, the oilers were still in Houston.

You would think that would work but Cowboy fans live off their past glories. Its sad really.

It's got to be much better than never having any glories to remember at all.

7 years is not as long as the majority of teams waited for some glory. Its just more bitter because we dealt with the oilers for so long.

Why are you arguing with them? Who's dumber the ***** or the person that argues with an *****. Moral of the story don't argue with dumb people.

True. The Cowboys are some of the most clueless, thickheaded people around. And I have good friends that are Cowboy fans who are the same way when it comes to that team. It's like a cult: They've been brainwashed into repeating platituted over and over again like Zombies.
(Insert zombie voice and wide blank-looking eyes):
"We...are...America's...team!"
"We...are...America's...team!"
Pathethic.
