Can somebody anybody tell me why do we always purchase C.T.D. QB's? These QB's we have are too freaking fragile for me. Should we let them live in a bubble? When are we going to shell out the money for a real QB and stop being CHEAP!

Do you not watch much pro football? Injuries are part of the game and quite wide spread. Any QB can get hurt at any given time no matter who he is. See Tom Terrific or Sam Bradford last night. Its part of the game.

well...... I think I get his point, maybe he should have mentioned that he doesn't expect a guy to get hurt slowing down out of bounds. That I thought was funny, nothing that happens to him will surprise me anymore after that. Getting whacked on the knee twice, was pretty obvious, but come on Goat, how "non-athletic" can Matt be to tweak his ankle slowing down? It is a game, you expect the guy to be able to run, walk, jump, etc... without getting hurt.

I think Schaub is the only QB we've had that falls into this category. David Carr was tough, I didn't say a Hall Of Famer, but tough. You have to be to get sacked that many times and still be able to play. Of course I don't blame his lack of success all on him either.

True, a lot of people don't realize he was a rookie QB on an expansion team full of other teams leftovers. Ran by a crappy General Manager and a head coach that couldn't get it done either, not to mention a NEW owner to an NFL Franchise. He did help beat Dallas though. I don't recall him ever complaining about the protection he got either. You think Favre or anyone else would have said something?

Come on now, you cannot even compare David Carr to Matt Schaub. The difference is that Matt Schaub takes the hits while making amazing plays and David Carr would take the hits while holding the ball to long because he could figure out how to make reads.

The other side of the coin is that I have never seen Matt drop to the Fetal position because he was scared a hit was coming when nobody was close.. Carr was scared of hits while Schaub has shown he will take the big hits for the benefit of the team.

One of those is a good thing and one is a bad thing, I will let you decide which is which.

I do watch pro football and have some football players as friends and I do know that injuries come with this game. They are payed big bucks for a short period of time because their bodies can only take it for a short length of time. But Schaub gets hurt every year on something I waiting for him to have turf toe next!

You are right we do make poor decisions in reference to picking players.
