Ok, we all have predictions about how the season will come out. I decided to make a thread where we can have them all in one place for easy access later if needed.

edit -- 9-5 above should read 9-7

This isn't about what you want. Everyone wants 16-0 and SB win.

This is about what you think will happen.

My prediction, 10-6 and no playoffs this year.

made when the schedule was first released:

12-4 (6-2/6-2) with a 5-0 run out of the gate....

Home Games in Bold

Opening With Three Out of Four at Home: Split. 2-2
Jets (If we beat the Jets we go 3-1, but I don't think we are ready.)
@Titans
Jaguars
Oakland

Next 4 out of 5 On the Road: Not historically a good road team. 3-2
@Cardinals
@Bengals
49ers
@Bills
@ Colts

Another Stretch of 3 Out of 4 at Home: 3-1
Titans
Colts
@Jaguars
Seahawks

At this point in the season I'm predicting 8-5 overall, but only 3-3 in the division.

Final Three 1-2
@Rams
@Dolphins
Patriots

Season: 9-7.

So you think we'll go 5-0 and then lose to the Bengals? That's the 6th game.

I must stick with my Pre-Preseason prediction of 11-5. At worst 10-6, but I think 11-5.

I can't see us going where we want to go this year. The Titans are strong, the Colts are strong... we're not going to win the division.

I think every team we play is better than we are, with the exception of SanFran, Buffalo, & St Louis. If we're going to win any of the other 13 games, we're going to have to play perfect, with fire on the road as well as home, and manage them to a tee.... not our strong suit.

I guarantee you we'll sleep on the Jets. They're going to come out and blow us away, because we're not going to be expecting much from Sanchez, or Rhodes, Revis & Sheppard.

Titans? in Tennessee..... chalk that one up as a loss.

Jags... again, we're going to sleep on their new offense. MJD is the man. Tory Holt is old, but the real deal, & Troy Williamson looks good too.

If we start off 0-3, then have to play Indy, Tennessee & Jacksonville after the bye.....

I'm scurrred, & I'm not afraid to say it.

Season: 11-5 at worst 10-6.

As far as the division, I think the Texans split w/ the Colts and Titans and sweep the Jags. AFC East will result in some close games, but 3-1. Toughet challenge in the NFC West the Seahawks and the Rams - we'll beat AZ for a 3rd time. Raiders we'll beat simply for ruining our win streak against them. This is just my opinion and is subject to change - hopefully for the better.

10-6 it is but we will make the playoffs because of our strong show against AFC teams. :)

I went with 8-8 or worse. As most of you know, I have a serious issue with the level of intensity some of our guys come out and play with. Until that changes, we will always be an 8-8 football team.

I hope the boys prove me wrong this season, but I'm sticking to this for now.

10-6

I think our road schedule is weak enough for us to at least pull together a 4-4 record but I get the feeling we're still going to struggle within our own division. If we can pull together a 2-2 or better record during our 4 straight division games then we'll be in good shape for the playoffs.

I know it's not exactly a prediction* saying that a team will make the playoffs if they win in their division, but so far we haven't managed to do it. Here's hoping!

*: Get it? a BOLD prediction? Don't worry, I won't quit my day job.

Ask me again after game 2. If they grab a win from the Tacks in enemy territory I think the Texans will have a huge season.

As has been said so many times before, so much depends on divisional play. I can see a possiblity where the Texans, Tacks, and Colts all go 1-1 against each other and all 3 sweep the Jags and all 3 end up in the playoff picture.

The Colts had a coaching change, but still have Manning.
The Tacks lost Haynesworth, but still have Fischer.
The Texans probably did more to help themselves over the offseason than anyone in the division.

Now would be a good time to get those bullet proof vests with the Texan logos on them, I think this is going to be a real shootout.

I voted what I feel will happen, not what I want to happen. We want them to step on the field and look like the Patriots/Colts but they look more like the Cards. Add to it our division, and I see 3-3, sweeping the Jags, splitting the Titans and being swept, once again by Indy.
I have as many doubts about the evaluation of talent, coaching ability, decision making and play calling as I do about our players. I really don't think Kub has it in him, and if we don't improve then he certainly will be gone.
You would expect that with the OTA's and camp that rookies wouldn't look as lost as our young CB's do. You expect them to make mistakes, but not lost. That is poor coaching or poor talent evaluation, and we have heard Kub take the blame enough times for not having them prepared. It just won't fly anymore.

!0-6 until proven otherwise.

Heck if it werent for a rosencopter and a 4th and 8 dash by a fat qb I would he been right last year. One of these days I am going to stop sounding like a broken record

And that's the question. Are we good enough now, that we can overcome the stupid crap that keeps us out of the W column.

Rosencopter's gone.... I know. But every year, it's something stupid. There's always one play, one screw up..

Are we past that? are we a "good" team? Or are we still on the bubble, and need to rely on the football Gods?

Are we in the same league as the Colts? The Pats? The Chargers? The Steelers?

First half of the season, we look like last year's BUFF Bills. We go 6-2, no worst than
5-3.
Second half, we face the tougher part of our schedule. We go 4-4, possibly 3-5.
With a little luck(like NE benching their starters), maybe we go 5-3.
Overall 9-7 for our 1st winning season, but possibly 10-6.

But, if we lose to the Jets at home, that is a bad start.

I have us going 10-6. Cincy is going to be a lot better than last year. We need to go at lest 4-4 on the road and pull out 6 victories at home. To win the division we will have to beat either the Titans or Indy on the road and beat Jacksonville twice. Like someone else said that 4 game stretch where we play 4 straight division opponents will make or break our season. We could get lucky and play the Patriots 2nd string if they have already clinched. If not I don't think we can cover Moss well enough to win.
