Did Myers get hurt against Minnesota? was that why he was replaced so early with Chris White, or was that just Kubiak's plan?
Personally, I think White did a good job in Minnesota, and I can see him replacing Myers.
Caldwell should be pushing for whatever job Studdard thinks he's going to get. But that's just me. & way off subject.
The question is center..... who's going to start?

I'll just ignore JunkFood's post! lol
Studdard looked absolutely HORRIBLE against the Bucs 2nd, 3rd, 4th stringers on Friday. He was getting manhandled and pushed around for most of what I saw when I was watching him.

yeah im with you... sucks that Yao Ming is hurt...
I think the guy we signed from Australia... David Anderson is going to start at Center for the time being
Yeah, although I wouldn't be opposed to Chuck Hayes starting at center, he handled himself well, defensively, during the Laker series.
Oh, but on football, yeah, if Myers isn't ready to go, it definitely is going to be White. He has had a great preseason in my opinion, although, you would want the guy that helped Slaton get all those yards last season ideally, but if the injury is preventing him from going all out, White is the main backup.
Studdard looked fine this preseason, didn't see him do much in the last game but he is supposed to be the left Guard backup, but Chester was playing for a good while in the Tampa game. Caldwell probably won't be taking anyone's job unless they lose it or are injured. He is ok but why on Earth would you jeopardize your almost playoff caliber offense with a rookie offensive lineman?

Myer's job was never on the line, and he played a series against Tampa. I think they just wanted to work him back slowly.

Just so you know.....Chris Myers was not supposed to come back from his high ankle sprain until the last preseason game. He did rehab and felt pretty good earlier then expected so asked Kub to play against the Vikings. He was scheduled to play only one 1/4 so that happened as planned. Chris wanted to get a little more game time in before the Jets game so asked to get in some for the bucks game. He played another 1/4 as planned. Chris wanted to be fully ready for the Jets D line and after talking to him yesterday he is ready big time.

This is great news. Our line from last year is ready to go again, with more chemistry under their belts, Brown with a years experience, and a veteran presence in the middle.

Great to hear... don't take it the wrong way, I'm a Myers fan, and don't want him replaced anytime soon. I just wasn't up to date on the injury. Thanks for the reply.

Let's just hope the middle of our line can hold up against the pass rush. Last year, Haynesworth pushed them all around. Now that he's gone, it will make it easier 2 (or maybe 3? :)) times a year. But if the middle of the line can hold their own, it will take a lot of pressure off the OT's, who let too much pressure get around to the QB last year.
