Why couldn't we get him? He doesn't even practice with the team and gets 2 sacks?

Dunta didn't practice with the team and the only sack he got was at birth.

I still wouldn't trade a first round pick on a guy that is on the back half of his career.

I agree. We have had so much luck in first round draft picks too. :D

Maybe it was the 1st or the fact that he's not been playing in a 4-3? He's just a somewhat better Anthony Weaver to us.

First off, we werent going to give up a first round pick for him...Second, his contract is up after this year and he obviously wants to test FA(Haynesworth) so unless we franchise him next year, which would be massive $$, he would most likely walk
Apparently, He didnt show up to the Raiders camp bcause he said he wouldnt until they signed a contract that they wouldnt franchise him...

I would have given up this years pick for Seymour or Peppers. Seymour might have worked better as far as money. Antonio Smith is never going to be half of those guys...he is a more expensive version of Weaver....with his throat slashing butt.

I wouldn't care if he walked after this year....I wanted him for this year so we can have a consistent and intimidating pass rush. Win now!

I would rather pay Seymour or Peppers 17 million for one year than pay Antonio Smith $25 million for 5 years.

I think we are forgetting that if he plays well this year and wants to walk, all Oakland and Crazy Al have to do is franchise him.
