Wow, it has been a REALLY long time since I last posted, but I've been pretty much lurking here everyday and keeping up to date here. So, I just thought It'd be nice to start off with making a new thread to say "hi" again.
While tuning into BSPN (Too lazy to change the channel and was waiting for a chance for some Texans' talk), they were talking about the Pats/Jets game.
Not surprisingly, they praised the Jet's D as the best in the NFL under Rex Ryan and tried to defend the Pats' loss as much *** possible.
Watching the tape, they brought the heat on what seemed like EVERY play and made Tom Brady look like a VERY average QB. Considering how much the Pats get praise( deservedly so) and the organization they have, the Jets made them look quite average.
I'm not trying to make an excuse here, but what do you think are the differences between how Schaub and Tom Brady/ Oline handled the heat of Rex Ryan D?
I'm very glad we bounced back against a tough team and beat an even tougher Divison rival in their House.
I hope we are on the upswing!

Here is the QB comparisons:
Schaub: 2 sacks/1 INT/54.5 comp % /166yds/avg. 5yds throw/QB rating 55.9
Brady: 0 sack/1 INT/48.9 comp %/216yds/avg. 4.6yds throw/ QB rating 53.1
I'd say Schaub played comparable to arguably the best QB in football. The Jets D is no joke!
On a side note, Schaub is ranked 8th in the NFL in QB rating!! The guy can play, he just needs to do it every Sunday!
Brady is one of the best QB's today and has proven himself for several years. Schaub still has a way to go in order to even be compaired to Brady.

Brady thing is the Giants set a blueprint on how to attack him.

Brady looked unstoppable against Buffalo on those last two drives, it don't think there is any rust, the Jets D and Revis hurt them, also they were missing their WR2 Welker, just like we were missing Walter, can wait for him to be back

Buffalo was in a prevent defense trying to hold on to a lead..makes alot of QBs look good in a prevent defense. Brady looked antsy playing the Jets, could be the Jets defense or he might still not be quite comfortable yet.

Key words being the "last two drives". There is a serious possibility that Brady isn't yet back in his normal groove yet. However, I will say the Jets D isn't a joke and Sanchez is another rookie QB with skills.

The difference between us and the Pats could be summed in four words actually five
Superbowl
suberbowl
superbowl
Almost superbowl
No doubt that they've had success in this league for a while. But they've been around the league for a lot longer than we have and have had stability with Belichik.
Just drawing a comparison to right now, I was leaving out previous seasons since they technically meaning nothing when the first day of TC begins.
Stats, wins or anything from the past won't help a team in the present.

I wasn't comparing careers. I was comparing the games they had against the JETS defense this year.

I'm going to do as someone else suggested in other threads...wait until week 4 or 5 to really start taking a hard look at teams. This includes the Jets.
Though, the way their defense is churning right now, phew. Force to be reckoned with, for sure.

Well as surprising as it might sound, the Texans are not that much different than the pats, almost a twin style wise. A high powered offense, couped with an avg or below avg defense depending on how you look at it. They have one of the best if not the best WR in football, and the pats have moss, Texans have a better RB, patriots have the edge in o line id say but not by much. The patriots exceed the texans in experience, coaching, and execution on a week by week basis, but their meeting this year with the patriots will be interesting to watch.
