ESPN's Adam Schefter just broke this on Mike and Mike. No word yet on what the Browns are receiving in return, since no official announcement has been made yet.

The Jets sent wide receiver Chansi Stuckey(notes), linebacker Jason Trusnik(notes) and undisclosed draft choices to the Browns on Wednesday to acquire the deep threat they had been lacking. Edwards, in his fifth season, has 10 receptions for 139 yards.
According to Yahoo Story... Looks like the tampering with crabtree didnt work out for the jets

Good trade for the browns having Massaquoi and Robiskie coming in as rookies and also Cribbs and now Stuckey. however it seems they are trading away all of thier best pass threats, Kellen Winslow Jr as well as Braylon Edwards. IDK what the point of all this is but they have a good core group coming up

now the browns might try to trade to the Texans for James casey or one of our plentiful tight ends

He's rebuilding the line on both sides of the ball. Acquiring draft picks is smart. He drafted 2 WRs because he wanted Braylon gone from the minute he landed in Cleveland.

This just in: The Cleveland Browns have announced they're becoming the Cleveland Jets. Though I wonder if Braylon will continue to suck and lead the league in dropped passes.
Sorta how we're like the Houston Broncos.

Edwards will fit in fine, hes friends with some guys in the Jets locker room, like kerry rhodes and bart scott, you don't tick off your friends. I thought I heard something like as soon as he came into the locker room they were already busting his chops over the altercation with lebron's entourage for fun.

Just a younger and bigger version of Cory Bradford. Makes one jaw dropper and then misses two in the hands.

Braylon will be money in NY it's just been a motivation thing (yes it's sad the guy isn't motivated to just play football). Watch the guy is super talented and actually has an excellent work(out) ethic. Production will depend on Sanchez but Braylon will not lead the league in drops again anytime soon.

Wasn't the Jets team the ones the 49er's accused of tampering with Crabtree?
The Jets nab Edwards and poof! Crabtree signs with the 9er's. Sounds fishy to me but i am sure it's all just coincidence.

I think it has more to do with Edwards's alleged altercation with Lebron, and cleveland try to toss him out of there before it potentially got ugly.

You called it. Last night's MNF game showed what the man can do.
