Kubiak will be safe after this season, above .500 or below.

Your thoughts?

I cant take this guy too serious. Brian Cushing hasnt had an impact in the early going? Really?! And I came away with them saying, "Well they have the talent BUT" Well obviously we have the talent, so whats holding us back? What did he say at the end, Bob McNair still knows this is patient what? Patient drill? Im not a fortune teller but I would think Bob McNair is getting somewhat impatient. He has given Gary the keys to the franchise, allowing him to sign off on things and allowing him to bring in his own players. Obviously as I said in the other thread similar to this "Will Kubiak survive after 7-9?" or whatever, yes I think he will. Should he? Ehh, hate to say it, but imo no. Not after what I just said. He has been given the keys to just about everything.

I think Kubiak is safe after this season, however, if are below 500 at the end of the season, some of the assistant coaches may go. I wanted Kubiak as our first coach and if we had picked him to begain with, we would be a lot better team.

Oh come on. Even Kubiak admitted that he wasn't ready to be a head coach back then. And, he was interviewed with several teams and wasn't hired.

AND, Charlie Casserly would still have been the GM, and we've seen how Casserly's bad drafting is affecting us now.

Which Casserly pics are hurting us now. I'm curious. Please illuminate us.

Casserly free agent signings of Anthony Weaver and Morlon Greenwood are taking up $6.8Mil in dead money on the cap right now...

Texans are 10 million under the cap even with the dead money from Greenwood, weaver, and others. The effect from that amount from those two players is negligible.

Kub is safe, like at what he had when he started. Know look at what he has now. It's a better team now with a few holes in it.

Well, when he got here our principal problems were no pass rush, weak running offense, bad defending 3 down, and no red zone punch. Thank goodness he has taken care of all those problems.

Exactly. In addition, it has been well documented that Casserly was trying to wheel and deal in the draft, and traded away too many later-round draft picks for players that turned out to be busts.

The result is that we have very few, if any, seasoned vets that should be coming into their own right about now.

we only have 3 players from the old casserly capers regime

and we have Williams, Ryans, Owen Daniels, Eric Winston, from the 06 draft class under casserly,

Simple fact is the product has imnproved not regressed which I feek warrants keeping atleast to the term of his contract which is after next year.

You can argue all you want down in Texas about how the Houston Texans could easily be 4-1 instead of 1-4, but the bottom line is that they aren't and because of that little fact, execs within the team's front office are apparently starting to think that head coach Gary Kubiak might not be the man for the job, according to the Houston Chronicle.

In his fourth year, Kubiak is apparently one of the longest-tenured coaches in the league. Only eight coaches have been with their teams longer and six of them have been to the Super Bowl, according to the paper. Kubiak's not close to getting to the Super Bowl.

If things don't turn around for Kubiak's squad soon, he'll likely be tossed.

Then again, the article he claims that says the Houston Texans execs are unhappy is a piece from Jerome Solomon, which doesnt say if they are or arent unhappy, but rather Jerome's personal take. Also, the Yahoo guy mentions we're 1-4. Dont buy too much into it.
