everyone is talkin about the mnumber two spot and i my self would like it to be mathis or jones but i think mccardell has the best shot at getting it if he plays well.....he is a vet and should do good.....but i want the lineup to be aj, jones, mathis at all times.....run 3 wide sets and alternate between fb and te on the field....i think if we have those 3 wideouts on the field at a time its too hard to contend with.......btw...anyone know if mathis or jones will get to play first string tomorrow?

Well Kubiak seems to be playing people with the first team based on their play and practice (Danny Clark running with 1st team D). So I would imagine Jones would get the nod but I think he wants Walter to lose the job if you know what I mean.

Kubes mentioned on the radio that JJ was working some with the ones, so I suspect he will be in there tomorrow.

It'll be interesting to see how the coaches work all of our WRs into the rotation. I feel like we've got some serious talent at that position this year. It wasn't long ago we were talking about "no help for AJ"....now we're wondering which WR will be the best to start opposite him because they each bring something to the table.

I think McCardell not practicing because of the hammy and not really knowing our system yet will push him down on the depth chart for now. The rest of the preseason will be a sprint to the finish line to see who gets the start on opening day.
