Everyone joked about Casey falling down and not keeping his feet under him when he woudl touch the ball. According to Kubiak he was playing hurt and in a lot of pain all game, but stayed in because he knew the team needed him.

Good dedication on Casey's part, but that doesn't negate the fact that we will be seeing a lot of Dressen and Hill on Sunday. I am especially worried with Dressen, as he is also our LS and that means he will be taking a lot of punishment ALL day.

I want to blame all those people that whined about us taking 2 TE in the draft for jinxing us.

This sucks... These are the moments when coaches & managment earn their pay checks... How will we adjust? How creative can Kubes & Shanahan be? Will others continue to step up!? Kind of anxious to see...

Moats and slaton in the backfield together seems like a fun idea...

Well this is really beginning to suck! I was excited to see what the rook could do no more at least another 3 weeks. Jeez at least the rest of the team is reasonably healthy.

Anybody on defense that could come in and play TE in an emergency?????

Thats exactly what I was thinking...with moats being a running threat and slaton a threat out of the backfield as a receiver....it could be a deadly combination.

It looks like we will be playing real agressive formations this week, lets just hope Matt does quick reads or drills it in the ground at a receivers feet and doesn't lose yards or take hits

The DE we took in the second round, Connor Barwin, was a backup tight end for three years at Cincinnati before they moved him to DE. I think with his speed (4.47 40!!!), he can be a decent Mike Vrabel-type emergency tight end.

Good Idea, also Duane Brown played TE as a freshman at VT, we could slide him out to the TE and have Butler play LT next to him. he has great hands also in a Vrabel role

Hopefully Casey will be back for the monday night game. Joel Dressen gets the chance to prove he can start in the NFL. every player likes that chance. It's also a good time for Kevin Walter get more involved, he hasn't had many balls come his way lately.

I think we will see alot of spread formations this week. We have to put multiple wr's on the field to make up for what OD does. Good thing for us, we are pretty good at that. I also expect to see more Slaton in a receiving role. If we can run the ball like last week, it will take a ton of pressure off the passing game. If we can't run it and Schaub has to throw the ball 40+ times without his bail out down the middle in OD, we could be in trouble.
