With Owen Daniels out do you think our red-zone offense will struggle?

I don't think it will too badly, but it will be pretty hard unless Kubiak puts in Moats as our short yardage back instead of Chris Brown.

I think our redzone offense still hasnt been fixed [completely] yet. We still have trouble scoring down in the RZ. Losing Daniels wont help.

I don't think OD is as important in the red zone as the running game is. If you noticed against the Bills, when we started running the ball well in the second half, we were great in the red zone.

If the plan is to run our offense the same as if OD was here with Dressen or Casey playing the position, I don't think we'll have a problem. My fear is, is that we'll ignor the weapon the TE position brings us because OD is out.

When Casey was drafted everyone was sky high on him (coaches and fans) to the point where the team acted like they didn't even care if OD signed. OK, so I went back and read what everyone was saying about Casey in May....so lets run our offense just the way we've been runnng it with Casey running the same plays as OD and getting the same pecentage of passes thrown his way. It's going to kill us if we take this option out of our offense.

I dont think that the lack of OD or Casey at TE will effect our redzone scoring. Teams have run and gashed the colts defense. As long as we play smart and use BOTH SLATON AND MOATS to their strenghts (slaton-slot/wr/screens, moats-tough downhill running) we should be able to score at will and with some ease...our WR corps is really good and yes OD being out takes a little air out of our game, but I think it gives Walter and J. Jones a big chance to shine in this one.

The big question will be how our defense plays. Can we get enough pressures and hits on peyton to frustrate and hurry him?? Can our CB's and Safetys not allow the big plays downfield?? And can our LB's continue to play lights out against the run, screens, and 3rd downs??? Those will be the deciding factors in this game, and I must say I like our chances.

The loss of OD will affect us even getting to the red zone.

Once he gets back on the field right? :(

I am convinced that Casey will do wonderful things for this team and OD's injury gives him the chance.

True that.

I disagree. Casey while very much a physical talent is still a rookie and I don't think he will be able to replicate all the things OD did to get open nor will he be able to anticipate Matt's throws like Daniels seemed to. He may one day prove to be a great TE (or FB or whatever) but especially after coming back off of his surgery, I just can't think things will go so smoothly.

Although truthfully, OD wasn't much a effective Red Zone weapon anyway until this season.

I think it's whether or not we can punch it in, and not make it obvious when we will run Red-Zone. You just don't know how many times I shout at the television yelling "Play Action!, you should have run play actiooonnnn! They knew we were trying to run on that down!"

The fact that O.D. is out may actually allow us to sneak some in if they ignore TE's this game. Plus if I recall Joel Dreesen had a nice jump ball in the endzone a few games back so...
If not maybe we will finally get to see the debut of the Vonta Leach run in! YEEEAH! :-D

I kinda agree with this. Dreessen is suppose to be a better blocker than OD, so in the Red Zone we should actually be better. But, I think it won't be as easy to get to the Red Zone. OD was great at finding the holes in the defense. If Dreessen and Hill can do that well too, then we will be fine.
