They, along with the rest of the nation, seem to think this week is going to sort of "ho hum" for the Colts. One guy even claimed that their back up QB would probably throw a TD pass.

I don't know how you guys feel but, personally, I LOVE IT!!!! I hope everyone of those slaps on CBS Game Day picks Indy and I hope they all think it is going to be a cake walk.

I LOVE the fact that Vegas has us as a 9.5 dog. There is a lot of money to be made on Sunday.

I like it like this......no expectations except for the same ol' same ol'......nothing better than being under the radar.......they won't know what hit 'em come Sunday around 3 PM.

Man,

I'm a Texan fan through and through. When AJ caught that 2 point this sunday in my end zone I was yelling "Best WR in the GAME!" and I meant it.

But I think to honetsly feel that "There is a lot of money to be made on Sunday" is just foolish. Love my team, believe they have a chance but...

Peyton Manning scares me no matter when, no matter what situation. All I'm saying is the unrealistic approach to fandom is just silly.

I wasn't saying go out and bet your mortgage on the game.....I just think that the 9.5 points is too much and it will be much closer than that......I think the Texans win though......

That's what I get for quoting you I guess. I was referring to the over all tone of the post. It just seems like there's a whole lot of people that blindly follow their team. But then again, I live in Buffalo, you should hear some of these people at the beginning of the year! :D

You should have been here at the beginning of the year. About 50 % of the board was calling for Kubes to be fired and the other half wanted him crucified. The attitude on the board has changed 180 degrees this season. Strap in the ride way spin unexpectedly.

I think you just picked out a couple of our more "aggressive" fans to pay attention to their posts. The vast majority of us definitely respect what the Texans have become and know full well this is a dangerous game.

When we lose another game this season it will come right back! Happens every year, but perhaps if we keep above .500 it will minimize the knee jerk threads.

If we have a sloppy game again this season... you might as well put on Schaub's uniform before jumping on the forums.

heh, it's not just Texan fans. I was calling out an exaggerated assumption is all. It happens all over the place.

Kind of like...

One minute Slaton is in everyone's signature (after 5 fumbles on the year mind you) then he loses another and K00b$ decides that he's seen enough and puts in Moats who gets lucky enough to face the worst run defense in the league and suddenly Moats is the guy? I'm not saying I wouldn't mind seeing more of him, but I'll wait til he plays a few games and plays against a real defense before I go writing off Slaton entirely.

ZOMG RYAN MOATZ JUST T00K A 3,875 COURIC DUMP!!! HALL OF FAME FTW??!?!?!?!?

That game wa snot the first time we have seen Moats on the field. He showed us last year that he can make some of the same plays as Slaton and he has a very similar run style.

The reason we did not se emor eof him is because Slaton did not make any mistakes last season so Moats did not get the nod. This season moats got the nod due to Slatons excessive turnovers and he showed he can get the job done in dramatic fashion.

Saying that the Bills do not have a solid run D does not take away from what moats accomplished on Sunday. Any back running for 100 yards and 3 TDs in a game had an elite day. If Moats were only a backup level player he would have churned out some decent yardage and maybe a score.

On top of all that, Moats was stuck behind Brian Westbrook when he was with the Eagles and so he never got the nod there either. When he injured his foot Philly let him go. We picked him up and now he gets a chance to be THE man on the field and proved that he has the skills to run in our offense.

Why people are so set on taking credit for an amazing game for Moats baffles my mind!

I still disagree. I think you could have put up over a buck of rushing offense against the Bills. We'll see though. Hopefully you're right.

If we can do what the 49-ers did and get some pressure up the middle on Manning, we should be able to win the game in a close, hard fought battle. If we can't, then I am afraid it is going to be a shootout and I have no idea who will win.

I feel much better about the 49-er game now that I have seen what happened between the Colts and them. We won by three, they won by 4. I still guess we should fire everyone from the coaches up though since the 49-ers almost came back on us.

I don't know what forum you are going to but Colts fans take the Texans very seriously. You guys have always played us tough no matter the 13-1 record against you. For what it's worth I think they split the games this year both winning at home. But how anyone cannot be impressed by Houston this year just isn't paying attention.

finally a reasonable colts fan that sees this rivalry for what it is...a good competitive game just about every time we face each other.

I guess the reason "some" colts fans don't see it as a "rivalry" is because we for so long would say that to pats fans and there reply was a rivalry you would need to win more games. . . .So I think some of our fans adopted that mentality. I do believe it has some merit.

Do I think this is going to be a hard fought game? You better believe it. It's
1. a Division game
2. if we(colts) win we pretty much have locked up the division(barring an epic failure on the colts part)
3. Some colts fans feel that we don't get enough credit for what we have done. i.e. haven't played anybody, opponents are 1 dimensional. . .so its a little dis-respect to us(from the outside) I have lurked on here for about a day and have seen some saying your not getting respect which I believe you are getting some but hey that comes with time and preformance.

I think its going to be a hard fought game and I believe our D is preforming better. I think are DB's are in for a true test in Andre Johnson, we passed on the AZ game. Now its another fantastic WR. If slaton is hurt I do believe that will handicap you guys some(mind you I have not seen Moats(sp)

To an injury free game!

I can see why some adopt that mentality, but it is a division game...we play twice a year and although yall are dominating us in the win/loss column its not like yall have blown us away...its been pretty close and exciting games here in the last couple of years.

Slaton isn't hurt...just keeps hurting this team by putting the ball on the ground...and Ryan Moats is a baller...he's similar to Slaton; not as good as a receiver as slaton but hits the holes harder and faster...that is just about the only way I can try to describe Moats to you so that you have a picture.

Whats going in with D. Brown?? I know he's been out for awhile, but I never got wind of what his injury is and how long he's expected to be out...

I just want to say that out of all the opposing fans out there I think the Colt fans(for the most part) are the most respectful, down to earth fans. Sure they are Homers like many of us but we atleast have good football discussions. With that being said(here comes the homerism) I expect a shootout come Sunday. Our QB is finally looking like a top tier QB, Manning...well let's just say he sets the standard. We have alot of new guys on defense but I think that works out in our favor as they don't have the 1-13 in the back of their minds. Cushing is playing lights out, Reeves is actually turning and looking for the ball this year, and Quin has been pretty solid as a nickel corner. Bernard Pollard...man I am glad we got this guy, his intensity is great for our young D. They will have their hands full with Wayne and co. but so will the Colt secondary even though we will miss Daniels. I think JJ and the running game are keys to a victory this weekend. GL to the Colts, let's pray for an injury free game and I see it................

That is quite the shoot out you have projected... I forsee it this way... We kick off to start the game, let our D get comfy, have a shoot out in the first half..... 17-14 Texans at the half... Recieve the KO in the 3rd & never look back... Have our "D" do thier 2nd half thing & shut down the Colts for the rest of the game....

Dreaming all right! but hey, nothing wrong with that haha. As for your first point, the Texans wont kickoff. The one time this season they have kicked off, it worked out pretty well for them. Too bad they dont do it more often.

I dunno, I still remeber when Indy kicked off and was offsides we made them re kick it and Mathis took it to the house.... Andre could do that to silence the crowd. I know I love getting the last drive before halftime, then getting it right back too, so I am torn.

I want to say this will be a shoot out, but I think it comes down which ever team has its defense do the most damage. I feel our defense should be primed to do it, because we almost did it even just last year to the Colts with a much weaker overall squad, but then I realize that their RBs are all much better and healthier this season as is Peyton.

Still, if Mario, Antonio or Amobi can get to Peyton enough and our defense don't make mistakes and neither does our offense we should be primed to give Peyton fits like I've seen him go into during the playoffs against the Chargers. And I think we are better then last year's Chargers.

thats to be expected. they are gonna ride the 1-13 train until the wheels fall off. they are used to not taking us seriously and this year we are the biggest threat yet. take away schaub's injury last year and we wouldve derailed that train sooner.

The beauty of being a fan, is that we can be cocky, or as ho-hum as we want. It won't have any affect on the players whatsoever. I can assure you the colts will be taking this game seriously. They don't win 12+ games every year because they are lax. If you think otherwise, you are in for a rude awakening. But like I said, what colts fans are saying on the boards means nothing.

Yep, Bud Adams, and I would love nothing better than to see a plethora of battle red "Buck Fud" Tee shirts at the home game with them. He treated the fans, a lot of whom, like me, had followed and rooted for them through thick and thin from their inception in the old AFL. So there is a lot of very hard feelings toward him.
