I just randomly remembered that in their existence, the Texans have only been on one Sports Illustrated cover (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/cover/featured/9865/index.htm), in anticipation of their first game against the Cowboys back in '02. With the issue that comes out this Thursday (but has a publication date of next Monday) likely featuring the World-Series Champion Yankees, I think SI will put out their mid-season preview the next week.

If this issue follows a resounding Texans win (big if), any chance we can see a Texan up there instead of say, Drew Brees, Darren Sharper, etc. I was thinking that if we can win the game in a resounding way by a touchdown or more, it's possible we can see Schaub, 'Dre, or Cush on the mid season cover, especially if they have huge games in a huge game for the Texans.

I know this is crazy talk, but I was just wondering, what could it take to see a Texan on the cover? Please chime in.

If we beat them and AJ has a big game. He could possibly be on there. Or maybe Cushing getting a BA sack on Manning. I would like a win more than a SI front cover.

I don't know about SI, but this cover was one to be remembered.

I haven't read or bought a SI since the Rockets won the championship and they had the other team featured. I hold a grudge a long time over that stuff.

I haven't bought or read SI since their Swimsuit Edition became irrelevant, which was right around 1989.
