at mid season my awards are as follows for the 09 texans

MVP - Matt Schaub

Rookie of the Year - Brian Cushing

Play of the year - AJ up ending Arizona LB for the TD.

Best FA pickup - Bernard Pollard

Most Improved Player - Duane Brown

Most Emotional Player - Eric Winston

Any one else care to comment or post their own midseason awards?

For single handedly being a scary threat to BOTH teams when fielding kicks. :D

No joke! This season he has been doing great, but I have not lost the fear factor from last season though! If we could fix the flags on returns JJ would have 2 more punt returns for TDs this season and another long return! :(

Honestly, despite still wanting him to start because of his break out potential, I'd figured Steve Slaton for that award.

I agree with JJ for Jekyl/Hyde. Slaton gets the "You're doing it wrong" award IMO...
