I was looking at the highlights of the game again vs. AZ. and there was one thing I noticed that showed a significant change in the mindset of our football team.
Owen Daniels catch on 3rd down where he took the hit. What I saw was how he got up and got back in the face of the guy who hit him. In years past our guys would've walked back to the huddle or acted like nothing happened. However, now we look as if we aren't taking anything from anybody and we certainly don't seem scared anymore.

I agree with what you're saying, but I always thought Owen had that heart.

I notice a bit of a change in mindset on offense as well. We mixed it up well and there was some definate chemistry. Now if only we can instill that killer instinct in the defense then we will be in good shape. The D didnt look as hungry to me, they werent playing with same fire.
p.s Owen could be set to have a HUGE year

Dunta Robinson might have a "slight" gripe with that particular comment.
We will see our heart against Dallas though!

I agree... He has always played hard and was the first on the team to publicly say that Carr was not getting it done... He is definitely either the best or second best tackler on the team (Behind only Demeco)... He will take out his anger about that post against Dallas. Go Texans!!!

Dont be surprised if Daniels leads Houston in TD receptions, Shaub to Daniels I think will be come a dangerus combination

Dunta, Meco, and maybe Clark. We have 20+ defensive players on the roster, there should be more than 2 or 3 guys who are playing hungry. That comment wasnt directed at Dunta, it was directed at just about everyone else on defense.

A good receiving TE will stretch the defense down the middle. After awhile, the LB's will have to drop deeper in pass coverage, and cheat deeper, opening up the run game. It all goes hand in hand. One sets up the other....

bottom line we will know what we have in a defense this coming week against dallas...this is the week we supposedly practice with a plan to take advantage of weaknesses in the other team. If game planning against the boys(err, girls) and we still look horrible, it would be time to lose our confidence in a positive season...I think if stink this year it will be hard to not lose the fans to the point where they will stop paying for games.

I think we have a shot at beating the Cowboys if our front seven can stop the run like they've done so far and start getting pressure on the QB. Playing a two deep zone SHOULD prevent the big play and we've been pretty good about not allowing yards after the catch.

I'd say you are spot on. Folks are picking each other up. Jacoby picking grass off Bruener. Bruener picking grass of Daniels. Minor signals but together an indication of more of a team spirit and excitement.

I agree. There was not much of that the past 2 years.
If Manning or Brady are on the ground there are always linemen there helping them up. You hardly ever saw linemen or anyone helping our previous QB up off the ground.
Of course oue previous QB was always on the ground and maybe the linemen were just too tired to help him up.

If you wanted teamwork, watch college football... or winning teams... I hope we will fit into the second one soon...

I saw him making tackles left and right at the Cardinals game. I also remember in the interview he had during the game that he was happy how this team is acting like a football team since the problem already left. I laughed at that part. :D
