So, its getting reaalllyy close to my 2nd fav time of year with ncaa ball starting up in two days. with that said, i want to hear how your team is gonna do this year and why.

i'll start with my Ags.

I'm gonna go with a realistic 9-3 this year. theres a bunch of games that will can Fran if he loses this year and he has a nice couple of "pre-season" games with montana state and LA-Monroe to get the ball rolling. i say we lose to miami (at the orange bowl), Nebraska (in Lincoln), and either Tech or Mizz (on the road). They have a lot of good things going the Ags way though with almost the whole team coming back, and a young core of talented players. Big XII championship could be a real possibility with tu and Neb. as the only real threats in the division. (OU lost alot of talent, Tech is going through a new QB?, OSU is OSU, and i wont even waste time on Baylor)

what about your boys??

Ags look real good this year with Goodson in the backfield. I also like Chris Harrington at DE. Still I gotta say that right now, unless they lose another WR, UT should take the Big 12 south. They just have so much talent. Their OL could be their undoing, but I'm sure they have reloaded.

I'm not sure UT's defense can hold up this year. They lost a lot of talent in the defensive backfield, so I see their defense being a big question mark.

And just to note. My team(s) are the Aggies and Longhorns. Yeah I know it's crazy!

Both have a great running game and McGees' arm is healed up so they could have a great passing game to go with his scrambling ability. Colt McCoy will be fine if he's not gunshy about getting hit, and Jamaal Charles is explosive.

McCoy in for a tough year. I think he's overrated. Not the best QB in the conference.

McFadden and F. Jones should have a great year for Arkansas.

Colt McCoy is definitely not the most talented QB in the Big 12, but I don't know if he's overrated. He's a solid QB who knows how to throw the ball.

They are gonna win the National Championship.. kidding obviously..

I think Notre Dame will struggle this year because they've lost so many players and their scheudle is so difficult. I'll be happy with 8 wins.

My two schools, one I go to, then my favorite growing up. Ill start off with my school:

Texas a&m

Positives
Best running back tandem in the nation. Best Tight End in the nation. Improving defense, and just a leader at the quartback position along with the best offensive line in the big 12.
Negatives:
Have no receivers. Passing game struggles to be able to move the chains when the running game isn't working. Defense isn't strong enough yet to just use the grind it out mentality.

Prediction? Undefeated at home, because we did it with the same schedule last year, but on the road. And you haven't seen homefield advantage unless you have been to kyle field. We lose at TTech and OU and possibly at Miami. I could see a Big 12 Title Game appearance.

Notre Dame

Positives:
Best offensive mind in football coaching this team. Return all american safety and tight end. Young defense from last season gets a little older with zbikowski coming back with a vengeance after a down year. Obtained the highest recruited player ever coming out of high school.

Negatives:
Lost heisman canidate Brady Quinn. Lost leading rusher from last year, and 2 big time receivers. Tough schedule as always. No proven offensive performers except stovall and carlson.

It is really up to the players execution, because I know Weis will have these boys prepared. I see them repeating last years performence minus the BCS bowl.

USC Gamecocks: 14-0

there I said it, when Spurrier says that they can compete for the east, he means it!!! If you don't agree with me, "Say hello to my little friend" Mr. Jasper Brinkley!!!! Ok maybe he isn't so little....

PS: Jasper leveled Tebow, not an easy task, and he has a brother Casper who is also at LB... You don't want to mess with them...

pshh...mccoy? overrated? he was a freshman and he showed poise and was very good last year. he's gotten bigger, stronger, and his arm strength is improved. this is coming from an aggie...a current tamu student at that. with tony hills at LT and the OL that UT has every year, along with Jamaal Charles and Limas Sweed, I doubt he has a "tough" year. UT didnt lose much on offense. its the defense that worries everyone.

Last year was not "tough", it was a year of injured players... They would have been in the Title hunt if not for everyone being hurt...

I know I'm kinda late getting to this thread since two games have already been played, but my SHSU Bearkats will be the Southland Conference champions this season. Rhett Bomar is like some sort of football Jesus.

No, he is just a good 1-A player, but he was kicked out, so he can tear up weak opponents with his eyes closed...

UT and A&M fans are both in for rude awakenings if they think they are getting into the BCS picture this year. Colt McCoy is throwing at least 2 picks a game and the Aggies don't have a quarterback.

Ags should have lost the game against Fresno State. Against a decent team, that option crap will get shut down and you'll have nothing left to fall back on.

Texas beat a TCU team with no offense. Good luck shutting down OU!

OU is going far this season. They are scoring points and keeping the other team off the board. Demarco Murray is a great RB, and they have a top defense. Look for Oklahoma to go to the Championship game. Other considerations will be LSU and USC. The aggies will do well this season, another bowl game for them. Although they have no passing game, but a great running attack...

I agree for the most part, especially I agree with you that the USC Gamecocks will do very well this year, and might make the championship... Go Gamecocks!!!!

Texas scored 34 points in the 2nd half against the #2 ranked defense in college football. Good luck shutting down Texas

Texas almost lost to UCF...this isn't your old Texas team. Your running back dances and your quarterback is good for 2 picks a game. Don't give me that #2 ranked defense bs...you were playing TCU out of the mountain west...and they had you down in the first half.
