Will Larry Johnson break another team record against the Texans Defense, again? History tells us that it is very possible.
Chiefs in a laugher (again) 38-9

Not only are you dreaming but your delusional....LJ wont get many carries and this run defense of ours is not the same you faced years ago. You better hope that Huard is on his game cause if he's not its going to be a long game for you and the chefs.
And you ask what is Schaub...well I'll let you answer that once you see what he does to your team. Lets just all hope your man enough to come back for your serving of crow when you all get embarrassed.
Not only does your team look aweful but who are your receivers other than your TE???....I hear crickets chirping....go figure.

2or 3 years ago??? Well let me be the first to welcome you to 2007. You dont have the highest scoring offense or anywhere near that this year. Your team as gone through drastic changes (and not for the better) while our team has done the same (all for the better eg. addition of a real qb in shcaub and a running game with green). We have beefed up our D and it WILL take a better WR core than the what the chefs have to beat us.

Yeah 10-4 as a starter and he is what 34 years old? So basically this means he has sucked for 11 years now. Schaub was stuck behind a $130 million dog killer and being that Schaub is only 26, I would bet my house and the 5 acres it is on that Schaub will have better record than 10-4 when he is 11 years in the NFL.
you better come with more than a freaking Haurd over Schaub blast if you are gonna troll THIS board. You better stick with what works for you and that is LJ over Green or TG over Dainels, because Huard over Schaub just shows your lack of football knowledge period....
Now go do your homework son, before I have to call your parents...
I would take a career 85.2 passer rating over a 69.2 passer rating any day

OK, Bony... ya had me going for just a second with that U-Tube thing, till I watched it.
One of the first things I saw was good ole Dom Cappers. He and his methods are gone.
Soon after I heard the name Carr. He and his ways are gone.
Most of the guys on that D-Line... gone.
I really hope the Chiefs are expecting that old team though... the score will end up something like 45-17 again, in Houston's favor though.

Most Attempts, Season
416 Larry Johnson, Kansas City, 2006
410 Jamal Anderson, Atlanta, 1998...1999, had 19 rushes for 59 yards. Out of the league two years later.
407 James Wilder, Tampa Bay, 1984...followed with a respectable 365 carries for 1300 yards the next season and declined rapidly each season after that.
Prognosis: Larry's done in a couple years. Better tell Herm to draft a new RB. You'll probably be in the running for McFadden.

PBuc trying to take opposing players jerseys off insead of tackling them, and Carr playing toss with the KC defense, HA. I do miss DD, he could juke like they do on madden. Oh well, sorry bonecrusher, but youve got a solid 5 years of rebuilding ahead of you, and at least one coaching change. I suggest drafting a QB next year. And here's some advice: give him good protection or he'll become broken. I know there arent any large stores over in Kansas City, but Carr could probably hear footsteps just filling up his gas tank. We'll let you know how Mario and last years Def rookie of the year are tomorrow

i would say pretty well since we didnt need a flanker. we did however need a DE for the 4-3 defense we were moving too.
passing on bush prevented us from picking quite possibly the most overhyped player since tony mandarich. if he doesnt figure out how to run the ball with some authority. he will be a bust. i think he should just convert to WR. i think his career would be much better in the slot. since payton loves to pass, bush's skills would fit better at WR

By LJs own admission he will not be full speed in game one. By Herm Edwards own admission he will have to rely on Bennet a lot tomorrow. I understand why you keep bragging about LJ because he is one of the lone bright spots on a poor team, but he's not going to be at his best tomorrow. Larry is rusty and not conditioned, and he is going to find that there have been some changes made to the Texans front 7 since he last seen them.
This is very unfortunate for the Chiefs, because the passing game is so bad that they had to break an NFL record for most carries in a season. LJ carried your team by himself, and by the time yall got to the post season he was just too worn down to do anything.
Chiefs - LJ = 0-16
Add to that equation the fact that the Chiefs lost their 2 best O-linemen this offseason, our boys are smelling blood in the water right now.

jacoby jones is hardly the savior. potential to be a good player, yes. not the savoir though.
ahman is hardly old. if a player takes care of their body. a RB at30-32 age can play at a high level in the NFL.
the chiefs do worry me. this will not be a push over game. there is alot of parity in the NFL. we are going to get a healty dose of LJ. might not be as many touchs per game as last year. but he will get it 20-25 times. this game will probably come down to who can convert on 3rd downs. scores are going to be hard to come by in the game as both teams have a good defense.

Anyway, serious questions. Please answer these with the least amount of homerism as possible. How do you see Huard holding up for a full season? Is Gonzalez showing any signs of slowing up? How confident are you in your OL, aside from Waters, who is a beast? Who will replace Allen? What are your thoughts on your interior DL, which has been a problem for a while? How about your secondary? Surtain and Law are old and Pollard and Page are young and unproven, though I'm sure you're a Pollard fan, hence your SN. Also, I just wanted to say good work on your team landing Nate Harris. I have talked to him a few times before and, while he's a ******, he is a good football player.

I just wanted to comment that my friend who is a Cheifs fan and I are going to the bar to watch the game tommorow and while he is optimistic that he can win tommorow, he has faced the facts that the Cheifs are rebuilding.
Herm Edwards inherted a team going in the wrong direction, plain and simple. The Chiefs kept trying to push for the playoffs with a strong veteran team but nothing led to a championship. The offensive lineman that were pro-bowl mainstay's have retired and plugged in with mediocre pieces at best. Your running back is one of the top 3 in the league, but the way he is running he will be out of the league in a couple years. Croyle's development remains to be seen in my opinion. The defense is adding good pieces but the secondary is getting up there in age.
While I belief that the Texans are the superior team I dont know what will happen. What I do know is that the Chiefs are in for long year unless Larry Johnson carries the ball 500-600 times. Many Chiefs fans are not as ignorant as this clown, but all are incredibly passionate about their team.
May the best team win tommorow.

He got 17 carries.
I have talked to him a few times before and, while he's a ******, he is a good football player.
homerism aside
1. dont know about huard just hoping for a decent season
2. I dont think gonzo is slowing down its just the blocking has taken catches
3. not very confident on the o-line
4. Jimmy Wilkerson who has been good at times
5. The D-line has been average other the ends but Tank Tyler should help with the run
6. I think our secondary is better with the young guns at safety, Pollard hits like a train and Page has the ball skillz
7. Nate Harris the rookie or do you mean Napoleon Harris?

Thanks for your honest responses. I am worried about this game too because there are so many unknowns on our team and we had so much turnover on the roster from last season to this one. I don't know what to expect from my QB or RB, which sucks. They looked good in the preseason, but there's a possibility that won't carry over. Our secondary is pretty bad too and our DL is full of underachievers. If we can't get pressure and clog the running lanes, it could be a long day.
I was speaking of Nate Harris, the rookie. I know he was undrafted, but he is a good football player and it wouldn't surprise me if he started for you guys down the road. He was supposed to be great at Miami, but he got kicked off of the team after he got charged for armed robbery or some similar offense. I got to know him a little when he was at Dodge County JC before transferring to Louisville.

Bonecrusher, if you had just started off with the intelligent football talk instead of the juvenile insults you would have been welcomed to the board.

You are right about us being very passionate and over the top sometimes but we realize that we are rebuilding....thus come the paper bags. Its could be a long season

Paper bags -- that's pretty funny. We went through the same thing in 2005.

Wait a second......Is this reverse psychology? The crow pies wont be ready until around 3 p.m. tomorrow. The Texans are looking forward to serving them and would be extremely disappointed if you didnt bring your appetite.

IMO: who ever gets to 125-150 rushing yards first wins. we are basically going to try and strangle each other till someone makes a mistake. if LJ goes over 100 yards could be bad news for us. if he is held to 70ish yards, we have a real shot. turnovers will be critical in this game.

Yeah.....I know!!! I went to see if there were any Texans fans on the Chiefs website crashing ya'lls party only to find out that there was no party to be crashed. Thought there might be some threads on how Damon Huard was only handed the starting job because Croyle sucked it up all pre-season. Alas no message boards. It's ok though we are willing to share with the less fortunate.

Will Larry Johnson break another team record against the Texans Defense, again? History tells us that it is very possible.
Chiefs in a laugher (again) 38-9
btw, what is a schaub, is it something you scrape off your shoe?

10 carries for 43 yards. That has to be some sort of record.
