Not too bad if you ask me. Let's hope we improve on this.

although we did great and the stats will tell the story...I dont think the rankings are based on stats...I think the power ranking polls are more opinion than facts...so I expect to see us in the bottom 1/3....

Nice. Those are respectable rankings for the first week. Our D really did look much better today than all of last year.

I expect Carolina to be a tougher opponent.

I knew they could do it. We are going to win on the road this week. When we do, I will really be getting cocky.

One game at a time.

Yea we knew KC had problems so it will be nice to see how we do against a team who have a shot to make the playoffs. I think we will win because well I don't choose anybody but the Texans but it should be a good game. The bonus is they will want to do it in front of Carr to say well it wasn't just the line now was it.

If this thread is still going into week six, and we still stack up like this, it'll probably go down as one of the greatest turnarounds in one offseason.

I just left nfl.com, and pulled up the stats, we are now ranked 11 for total offense, and 4th for total defense. Talk about a major improvement, plus a good side note, Super Mario is ranked number 2, for sack leader in the NFL.:D

Swagger might be a better term for it. That is what I want to see this team get. I want them to walk into ANY stadium with the belief that they can beat anybody, that includes the Pats, Colts and Chargers. This team is young but they also want to win. Most of these guys do not know what it was like the past 5 years, to lose every game. The one's that do, want to win and win bad. I want other team's fans not wanting to play the Texans because they know they are in for 60 min of hell. That their teams superstar may get his head knocked off by a 5'10 185 lb corner back who knows no fear or their QB might get sacked multiple times. When this team gets that, that swagger of not being losers anymore, of not being the NFL's whipping boy, look the hell out.

Today, I saw them take that first step in developing that swagger and even though they may run into some bumps in the road, I guarantee they will take more steps forward than they will backwards.

So with that said...

TEXANS FANS! PREPARE FOR GLORY!

You want to know how they get that swagger? Go into Carolina and come out with a win, no matter what it takes.

The Panthers will be up for this game. Carr will not see the field unless we knock Delhomme out of the game but he will have a lot of information for the Panthers coaches to help them develop a game plan. I'm pretty sure they'll be ready for us on both sides of the ball.

I can't wait for this game because it's another big challenge for our team, and so far our guys have risen to the occasion each time. If we go in there and take this game you'll get your swagger, which would be a huge momentum boost to take into the Colts game in week 3....we'll need all the help we can get.
